IMPORTANT: To be eligible for an appointment as a Teaching Assistant for Fall 2026 term, applicants must be enrolled in a McGill graduate program in Fall 2026 term.
Position Summary:
Contract period: Fall Term 2026 - Monday, August 31, to Thursday, December 31, 2026.
Attend all seminars and evaluate students' presentations (Class time = Tue & Thu, 4:30 - 6:00 PM).
Compile attendance and grades and provide feedback on student’s presentations.
Answer students' questions via email or MyCourses; flexible worktime.
Mark the six Paper Discussions at the end of each module and answer students’ questions on the grading.
Qualifications:
Enrolled in the Graduate Program in the Department of Biochemistry or within McGill University (i.e.: MIMM or EXMD graduate programs).
Effective communication skills in English are essential. French is an asset.
Instructions to the Candidate:
Make sure you apply either internal or external candidate, based on your current status in at McGill and/or Workday system.
However, if your current active position/contract with McGill is ending soon, it is best to apply as an external candidate as your access to Workday might be restricted due to contract termination.
Please note that the rate of pay (vacation pay (6%) and statutory holiday (3.6%) compensation included) as of First Sunday of August 2026: $38.46.

Updated CV including any previous TA experience in the Department of Biochemistry or within McGill University.
