IMPORTANT: To be eligible for an appointment as a Teaching Assistant for Fall 2026 term, applicants must be enrolled in a McGill graduate program in Fall 2026 term.
Position Summary:
Contract period: Fall Term 2026 - Monday, August 31, to Thursday, December 31, 2026.
Aid students via myCourses.
Aid instructors with designing quiz questions
Be available to answer e-mail inquiries or direct questions. Hours flexible.
Provide a review session upon completion of each course module.
Grade exams throughout the semester as discussed with course coordinators and instructors.
Participate in viewing sessions and answer students' questions.
Qualifications:
Enrolled in the Graduate Program in the Department of Biochemistry or within McGill University.
Qualified candidate must have received final grade of “A” in BIOC 311 (or equivalent course on Metabolism, or demonstrated research experience on Metabolism).
Knowledge of active learning pedagogy OR Attendance to workshops on pedagogy is an asset.
Effective communication skills in English are essential. French is an asset.
Instructions to the Candidate:

Please note that the rate of pay (vacation pay (6%) and statutory holiday (3.6%) compensation included) as of First Sunday of August 2026: $38.46.
