The Opportunity

Creates, develops and maintains quality strategies, systems, tools, methods, and processes for BU High Voltage Products R&D function in collaboration with other TC (Technology Center) R&D Quality Managers and in alignment with BU R&D Quality Manager.  Ensures the quality and reliability of the new product developments and GPS (Global Product Support) within TC, by regulating and guiding project teams properly using systems, tools, methods and processes. Where necessary, tailors and implements system, tools and methods that are aligned with the broader BU R&D function quality strategy in TC. Fosters a culture of quality excellence, both within the TC and in collaboration with teams outside the R&D Function. Drives continuous improvement efforts within Product Development and GPS processes, ensuring that consistent quality methodologies, processes, and procedures are in place in BU High Voltage Products R&D function

How you’ll make an impact

  • Implements Product Development Quality strategies and improvement initiatives for TCs, in line with the business needs and BU directives. Regulates and guides R&D teams to implement quality standards across New Product Implementation and GPS process in TC and cross functional teams, from inception to product/system implementation. Coachs R&D engineers in quality mindset and trains in applying R&D quality guidelines and methods.
  • Guides project teams to collect and analyze historical quality data through prop-er systems and tools (i.e T-NPS) to facilitate customer quality requirements, addressing customer pain points and quality perception of new and  existing offers. Guides project teams using proper methods and processes to ensure customer requirements are properly identified and translated into meaningful measurable criteria for the whole product/system life cycle, all along the project they are fulfilled and fully verified.
  • Ensures that BU Quality Management System (QMS) is followed within product development projects and GPS in TC. Contributes to definition of R&D  processes of BU QMS and measurement of the effectiveness of those processes. Develops and implements comprehensive instructions and training materials for each step of the R&D  processes, ensuring thorough understanding and compliance in TC. Contributes to the organization's commitment to quality through the development of effective metrics, continuous progress monitoring, and active participation in collaborative improvement initiatives.
  • Oversees the implementation of quality assurance methods and processes to ensure that product development projects and GPS are aligned with Company Regulations, BU Instructions and standards, and regulatory requirements. En-sures effective implementation and execution of the Gate model and design change processes for the product development projects in TC. Ensures that quality requirements and their acceptance criteria are defined at the appropriate stages of the projects and that their fulfilment are tracked along the project. Assesses and mitigates product quality risks, ensuring that potential issues are proactively addressed with focus on Special Characteristics, FMEA, DFM/DFA, and reliability reviews. Oversees quality assurance processes, including design control, risk management, verification and validation, and documentation.
  • Defines and implements appropriate quality controls to ensure seamless execution of the Gate Model and design change within the TC. Monitors the status of the Major Problem reports sent to the TC staff and the lessons learnt tracking and their mitigation. Organizes and conducts peer reviews in the TC. Upon appointment or assignment by gate owner or BU R&D Quality Manager, act as gate assessor or co-assessor to conduct comprehensive project evaluations with particular focus on product quality risks and R&D process execution. En-sures that appropriate processes are in place to verify that the products/systems/services developed are compliant with international, county and company standards (as applicable), and customer requirements.
  • Monitors the common R&D quality metrics and Problem reports to use as lesson learned and propose proactive preventive measures for the new development projects and GPS in TC. Tracks and communicates the product development project KPIs, defined by company standards (when applicable), to detect and analyze any deviations from targets. Shares knowledge and best practices, exchanges insights and innovative approaches in BU R&D Quality team and TC to improve overall quality of R&D processes. Identifies the area of improvements both for product quality and R&D project execution in TC and operation units, and reflects them in Quality Improvement Plans, where targeted strategies are devised and executed to address identified gaps.
  • Finds effective methods to regularly capture voice of customers. Translates customer inputs to solutions that improve customer satisfaction. Stays up to date with industry trends to provide winning value proposition to customers ahead of competition.
  • Analyzes information effectively to identify the root causes of problems by using the appropriate methodologies in a systematic and structured way. Systematically addresses deeper organizational root causes beyond the operational root causes to effectively build preventive actions.
  • Identifies and assesses different kinds of risks appropriately in their work environment to enable informed decisions on mitigation. Mitigates and controls risks and safeguards a continuous improvement of risk management approaches to ensure business success.
  • Identifies and handles personal and organizational conflicts. Communicates own needs and interests clearly and calmly while listening actively to the other parties' viewpoints and successfully finds constructive solutions.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
