WPP is on a global transformation journey for its accounting and finance departments. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team with a great learning environment. We are looking for a Tax Manager -  US Tax Accounting and Planning to join the Tax team in our Bangalore or Mumbai offices.

 

What you'll be doing:

 

The Tax Manager US Tax Accounting and Planning is a key player supporting the various tax planning and reporting areas that are under the team’s responsibility. This role reports into the Vice President of US Tax Accounting and will involve supporting and assisting the team where applicable.

 

Role Responsibilities included:

  • Preparation of tax provision, effective tax rate, current and deferred tax calculations and return-to-provision adjustments for all US subsidiaries.
  • Assist with completion of other tax provision schedules including tax disclosures and reserves.
  • Preparation of quarterly US taxable income forecasts and estimated tax payment calculations.
  • Performs special assignments including tax planning projects & transactional related assignments.
  • Collection of cross-border transactions and related transfer pricing documentation.
  • Managing requests for information requested by internal and external teams.

 

What you'll need:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting or Taxation.
  • Post-graduate degree (MS Tax) or CPA a plus.
  • Five (7) or more years of experience in Public Accounting (Big Four only)
  • Strong working knowledge of US income tax rules and tax reporting obligations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills; high level of attention to details.
  • Self-motivated, comprehends and responds constructively to instructions.
  • Capable to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
