Major Duties:
Qualifications: Federal experience is not required. Experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or through Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume. You must meet the following requirements by the cut-off dates as shown in announcement under the 'How to Apply' section. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Specialized Experience/ Education GS-05: Applicants must meet one of the following: At least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) in the Federal government. Examples of qualifying experience include experience responding to customer inquiries regarding billing or financial transactions and managing customer accounts (for example: credits, debits, adjustments, reconciling discrepancies etc.); performing daily work using a computer (for example: Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, Edge, or other search engines) to locate and review records; and researching and communicating established rules and procedures that involve factual details; OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: A Bachelor's degree or four years of education above high school in any field of study from an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Have a combination of education and experience equivalent to one year of specialized experience. Post-high school education must be from an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. AND You must also meet the following requirements: MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: Minimum age for federal employment is 18 years old, or at least 16 years old and have: Graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or Completed a formal vocational training program; or Received a statement from school authorities agreeing with your preference for employment rather than continuing your education.
