Tate & Lyle Global Shared Services Centre in Łódź is the principal location for handling the business support activities and processes for Tate & Lyle, both transactional as well as value-added business partnering support. Starting operations in 2011 with less than 50 people, we now have over 350 employees supporting operations globally. We have 30 teams operating in Łódź to provide service in the areas of Finance, Customer Service, Procurement, HR/People Services, and IS/IT

Currently we are looking for exceptional VAT System Specialist to join out Global Shared Services in Łódź.

 The successful candidate Is energetic in pursuing Business/GSS/other departments for review objectives and opportunities of improvement and is tenacious in overcoming difficulties. Clears analyses of complex system data or issues to develop a clear understanding to achieve the desired result. Is a tax team system/ GSS/other department’s facilitator and system VAT process improver. Is able to team work with Manager to ensure priorities & plans updates.

Core responsibilities:

System:

  • VAT logic configuration coordination for all existing systems (SAP/Oracle/IVAT/other Food System):

  • Sales VAT Tax Code determination logic

  • Purchase VAT Tax Code determination logic

  • Permanent Establishment tax classification

  • Local/non-Local VAT configuration

  • Customer Invoice form update  (table S010, other tabs)

  • Invoice sequential numbering activation & coordination

  • Sales Invoice rules based  (table ZWST)

  • Shipment cost tax logic (table FT00)

  • Intrastate Statistical Value (table GRWR)

  • EID conversion tax rate (table OBCD)

  • Interco errors review (transaction BD87)

  • SAP/Oracle/iVAT/other Food System Master data coordination with BU & GSS:

  • VAT Customer Tax classification

  • Material Master Data classification

  • Commodity codes link with VAT rate

  • Various services classification

  • Other system administrator (iVAT/ KPI-Management tool/ Automated VAT Checker,  Automated VAT Mapper)

  • System project resource (SAP configuration review/changes, SAP implementation)

  • SAP/Oracle/iVAT/other Food System documentation on Indirect Tax processes

Process:

  • SAP systems tax code review & creation for EU/non-EU countries

  • Coordinate existing  SAP set up VAT scenarios with BU & internally in VAT team

  • System set up coordination: VAT report/ESL/Intrastate

  • Systems Master data control & guide (VAT registration numbers, Incoterms, Territory zones, Commodity codes)

  • System IDOC coordination & posting (AR & AP) control, issues communication within GSS teams

  • System Billing team support to process invoice based on Local/non-Local VAT/Triangulation rules

  • System billing procedure VAT recommendations & updates proposal

  • System contact for supply chain/customer service contact for new customer/vendor contracts system review & set up

  • System End-to-End process understanding & follow up

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years SAP solid VAT knowledge

  • 3 years European VAT Tax reporting experience

  • University degree in Finance/Accounting/Law

  • Business working experience

  • High project skills

  • Fluent English; other language will be an asset

  • SAP, other ERP systems

  • Advanced Excel
