GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and talented candidate to join our team supporting the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AOUSC). The successful candidate will be an experienced Task Lead/PM with a long track record of successfully managing projects with similar operations scope. The Task Lead/PM is responsible for supervising all personnel, managing senior-level customer relationships, and overseeing delivery driving process and quality improvement. The successful candidate will be a change agent, not content with the status quo. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role. The role requires the ability to successfully juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent work streams. The successful candidate will thrive on the challenge and help the teams achieve a high degree of operations maturity.
The Task Lead/ Project Manager will execute the following responsibilities:
Provide project management of the tasks under this effort and manage contractor personnel.
Serve as the single point of contact (POC) to the Government for contract and task order execution.
Lead planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communications.
Manage multiple concurrent projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
Lead multidisciplinary teams and effectively coordinate with federal staff.
Rapidly scale staff and technical resources in response to changing project priorities.
Ensure compliance with federal standards, judiciary security requirements, and industry best practices.
Maintain effective communication and coordination with government staff, stakeholders, and external partners.
Ensure continuity of operations and knowledge transfer across all projects, despite frequent shifts in priorities and resources.
Develop and maintain project management plan in accordance with PMI standards, work breakdown structure, project schedule, supporting project plans, and other documentation required for successful project completion.
Monitor project progress, work with team members to ensure time is being correctly applied to project tasks, and closeout projects when work is complete using the government-identified tool.
Ensure projects are completed on time in accordance with the approved schedule, within the specified budget, and to the agreed-upon scope of the project.
Analyze project requirements to determine the scope, affected teams, and milestones.
Utilize Agile and hybrid methodologies to develop formal project documentation.
Provide project status reports and briefings to management on the status of current and upcoming projects.
Work with the PM group to develop common standards for all branches within the office.
Identify, document, and track project-level risks and issues, ensuring timely communication and mitigation planning with stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years’ experience as an IT Manager as outlined above, including technology solutions delivery, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
The Task Lead must possess bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
The Task Lead must possess a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
Experience leading teams of 25+ is desired
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to routinely brief senior leadership on project status.
