Overview of the Role: Talent Sourcer

Location: BKC, Mumbai

GLG’s Talent Sourcer role reflects our commitment to attracting and onboard the brightest talent. This position will be responsible for executing a search and selection strategy that reflects our firm culture, values, and success factors. This position is responsible for elevating the relationship within the recruitment unit, candidate experience and requires a strong understanding of business needs and priorities to translate them into a practical sourcing and recruitment strategy. 

This role will report directly into the Manager, Talent Acquisition based in Mumbai.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Proactively source and identify high-quality talent through multiple source channels including LinkedIn, job portals, social media platforms, networking events and talent communities.
  • Qualify suitable candidate profiles using both paper and phone screening
    techniques to evaluate skills, motivation, and overall fit for the role and organization.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders and hiring managers to determine position requirements
  • Building and developing ongoing talent pipelines for future hiring needs and high priority and strategic roles.
  • Measuring funnel conversion rates including outreach response, interview conversion, offer acceptance, and effectiveness to continuously improve sourcing strategies.
  • Execute strategies for employee referrals program and process improvements.
  • Promoting our employer brand online and offline.
  • Maintaining candidate databases (e.g. via our Applicant Tracking System)
    Communicating with past applicants regarding new job opportunities
  • Ideate and execute introduction of new alternative sourcing channels.
  • Ad Hoc recruitment responsibilities as required

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 1-3 years of Talent sourcing/acquisition experience; preferably within a fast-paced and high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), with ability to engage effectively with candidates and stakeholders.
  • Good business acumen to learn and understand the business and associated recruitment needs.
  • Good understanding of the India talent landscape, including market trends, candidate behavior, competitor mapping for an industry.
  • Strong drive to succeed in a target-oriented recruitment environment.
    Ability to quickly gain an understanding of the business needs and strategy and articulate the needs of a position
  • Demonstrated competence in thinking strategically, analytically, conceptually, and willing to be hands-on throughout daily activities.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into strategic talent acquisition actions with positive, measurable business impact
  • Working experience with Applicant Tracking Systems is a plus (Greenhouse)
  • Prior experience in executive search, headhunting, or recruitment agency environments will be an added advantage.
