About Human Agency

We're scaling rapidly and have a growing pipeline of opportunities that demand exceptional talent across disciplines. Our mission is to bring on individuals, from creative producers to technical experts to entrepreneurial leaders, who can help us realize this next chapter of growth.

We are a company of doers. Leaders roll up their sleeves, teams work flat, and everyone contributes to what ships. Titles don't insulate us from feedback or basics. We invite critique, learn quickly, and keep raising the bar. The best ideas win here, no matter where they come from, because clients trust us to deliver the strongest outcomes every time.

Our clients' missions, products, and bottom lines are sacred. We immerse ourselves in their world, becoming stewards of their goals and partners in solving big problems. Every product, strategy, or asset we create must be both beautiful and functional; practical, usable, and designed for real-world impact.

Humans are our most valuable resource, and we only grow by hiring people who push us forward. Across strategy, engineering, design, data, and operations, we seek out teammates who raise the bar and make us better. Always hire up, never down.

We partner with organizations of all sizes to explore, design, and implement AI strategies that are secure, scalable, and human-centered. We believe AI should amplify human potential, not replace it, and we build with that conviction in every engagement. From advisory and tooling to implementation and education, we meet clients where they are and help them integrate AI in ways that align with their mission and values. Our goal is to empower teams to work smarter, move faster, and unlock new possibilities through thoughtful, responsible innovation.

And through it all, we lead with purpose, love, and adventure. We do meaningful work with people we care about, and we make the ride an adventure worth taking. Because at Human Agency, who we are and how we work are one and the same.

The Opportunity

Simply put, Human Agency is growing fast. We're not looking to fill seats. We're hunting for the top 1% of practitioners and entrepreneurs in AI consulting, strategy, engineering, ventures, go-to-market and design. The kind of people who don't browse job boards because they're already working somewhere great.

You'll be responsible for finding and engaging those people. This means going deep into consulting firms, AI-native companies, and top-tier university programs to identify talent that matches our standards. You'll build pipelines for hard-to-fill roles, qualify candidates who can thrive in ambiguous, high-stakes client work, and represent Human Agency in a way that makes exceptional people want to take our call.

This isn't a pipeline management role. It's intelligence gathering, relationship building, and persuasion. You'll need to understand what separates a good consultant from a great one, what makes someone credible in front of a Fortune 500 executive, and how to compel a high performer to consider leaving their current role for ours.

What You'll Own

  • Build talent pipelines for critical hires across strategy, engineering, product, and design — focusing on candidates from top consulting firms (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Accenture, Deloitte), AI-native companies, and competitive AI consultancies.
  • Source proactively from top university alumni networks — you know how to identify recent grads and young professionals from Stanford, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Harvard, and other institutions that produce exceptional talent.
  • Qualify candidates rigorously before they meet hiring managers — you understand what great looks like in consulting and can assess whether someone has the presence, judgment, and technical chops to succeed in client-facing AI work.
  • Craft outreach that actually works — your messages are personalized, compelling, and respectful of someone's time. You don't spam. You research, you tailor, and you make people curious.
  • Partner with leadership to refine role requirements and ideal candidate profiles — you ask the right questions to understand what we really need, not just what's written in a job description.
  • Track, measure, and improve sourcing performance — you know your numbers, you optimize your approach, and you can articulate what's working and what's not.

Who You Are

Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of sourcing experience, ideally in consulting, technology, or professional services — you've hunted for hard-to-find talent before and know what it takes to engage passive candidates.
  • Deep familiarity with the consulting landscape and competitive AI firms — you know the players, the culture, and what makes someone leave McKinsey for a startup or boutique consultancy.
  • Proficiency with sourcing tools and platforms (LinkedIn, Boolean search, GitHub, academic networks, professional communities) — you know how to find people who aren't looking and don't advertise their availability.
  • Strong ability to assess talent quickly — you can read between the lines of a resume, ask the right questions in a 15-minute screen, and determine whether someone has the presence and judgment to represent Human Agency in front of clients.
  • Comfort operating in a high-growth, ambiguous environment where hiring needs shift quickly and roles aren't always perfectly defined when you start sourcing.

Mindset & Traits

  • You're curious and relentless — when a role is hard to fill, you don't wait for applicants. You go hunting.
  • You have taste — you can recognize exceptional talent even if it doesn't fit a traditional mold, and you're not satisfied bringing forward mediocre candidates just to fill a pipeline.
  • You're a relationship builder, not a transactional recruiter — you treat candidates like humans, build trust over time, and stay in touch even when there isn't an immediate opportunity.
  • You care about the mission — you want to work somewhere that's building something meaningful, and you want to bring in people who will make the company better, not just bigger.
  • You're confident representing Human Agency — you can articulate what makes us different, why someone should take a call with us, and what kind of person thrives here.

Equal Opportunity Commitment

Human Agency is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We value diverse perspectives and are committed to building inclusive, high-performing teams where everyone can do their best work.
