As a Talent Partner, you will work with leaders to strengthen the talent that drives our business, today and into the future. This role is about helping leaders understand their current talent landscape, identify opportunities and gaps, and turn insight into clear, practical action.

You will partner closely with leaders to shape talent plans that support business goals. Using data, workforce insight, and strong facilitation skills, you will help leaders make better, earlier decisions about capability, succession, and team design. You will also help leaders understand how the different parts of the talent system, performance, development, succession, workforce planning, and organizational design, connect and work together to deliver real results.

This is a highly collaborative role for someone who enjoys setting context, connecting the dots, and helping leaders turn strategy into action.

Major Responsibilities - What You’ll Do
 

Talent Partners play a key role in helping leaders build strong teams, develop future leaders, and make thoughtful workforce decisions. By bringing clarity, insight, and structure to talent conversations, this role helps ensure our organization is ready for what’s next.

Partner with Leaders on Talent Planning

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on talent priorities, workforce needs, and capability planning

  • Help leaders understand their current talent strengths, risks, and opportunities

  • Co-create clear, actionable talent plans to close gaps and support business objectives

Turn Data into Insight and Action

  • Use workforce, talent, and engagement data to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities

  • Help leaders track progress against talent plans and adjust actions as needed

  • Bring insight and structure to talent conversations so decisions are informed and forward-looking

Strengthen Succession and Capability

  • Guide leaders through succession planning and readiness discussions

  • Support identification and development of high-potential talent

  • Help leaders plan for future skills and capacity needs

Support Organizational Design and Role Clarity

  • Partner with leaders to assess team structures, role clarity, and job design

  • Ensure organizational changes support both business goals and long-term talent health

Activate Talent Programs Where They Matter

  • Support the rollout and use of talent programs such as performance management, development planning, and leadership development

  • Ensure talent initiatives are practical, relevant, and aligned to business needs

Enable Inclusive, High-Performance Teams

  • Support leaders in building engaged, inclusive teams

  • Use data and insight to inform Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging efforts and track progress

Qualifications and Experience – What you Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in talent management, HR consulting, HRBP, or progressive HR roles supporting leaders

  • Hands-on experience with succession planning, talent reviews, and workforce planning

  • Demonstrates systems thinking by understanding how talent, structure, and leadership decisions interact and impact future workforce needs.

  • Strong facilitator who can guide thoughtful, sometimes sensitive, conversations.

  • Strong analytical capability, with experience turning workforce and organizational data into insight that informs planning and forward‑looking decisions. 

Competencies

  • Comfortable using data to identify trends, inform decisions, and measure progress

  • Able to explain complex ideas simply and create shared understanding

  • Curious, proactive, and focused on continuous improvement

  • Ability to influence and build relationships with leaders at all levels.

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field

  • CPHR designation is an asset

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) workforce with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will have the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and will be in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
