Our Australia Market

The Australian Market is made up of Commercial (Sales), Consumer Marketing, Supply Operations, Finance, Corporate Relations, Legal, HR, and Controls & Compliance. The teams are based across three key locations with Sydney as the main location for commercial and corporate functions, along two manufacturing sites in Huntingwood and Bundaberg. In addition, there are employees reporting into our global functions based out of Australia as well.

The TE Function

Talent Engagement (TE) is our global function that spots and attracts talents to help deliver Diageo’s performance and business ambition. As part of our Talent Engagement team, you'll recruit diverse and innovative people from all over the world, opening doors to outstanding career opportunities!

The Talent Engagement Manager (TEM) is also a critical internal stakeholder relationship connector to ensure consistent delivery quality and excellent candidate journey, whether through an internal move or an external hire.

Your Role

Reporting to Talent Engagement Lead, APAC (in Shanghai) and based in Manila, you will be responsible for primarily Australia recruitment activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery – end-to-end recruitment cycle owner from initial talent and market insights, sourcing, assessing, offer, and to on-boarding.
  • Work closely with hiring managers, local market HRs, global CoE HR business partners, Rewards, First Point/Shared Service team to hire ahead of the curve and to identify internal talent moves or potential external pipelines.
  • Employer Brand – our TE is more than a recruiter, we proactively promote our brand being a talent scout. In this role, you can leverage and optimise the global & APAC Employer Brand, having the exposure to deploy creative sourcing strategies and advocate our brand.
  • True business partnering – with hiring managers and HR colleagues in all talent discussions to ensure the correct level of tension is brought to conversations around taking bolder bets with internal talent.
  • Market Insights Think Tank – possess strong external radar for any trend and insights on talent workforce and processes; bring external thinking to internal calibration conversations; bring best practices to enhance our methodology. We welcome non-traditional talent pools and non-traditional recruitment mentality.
  • Spearhead full end to end market talent initiatives.

Experience Required

  • Proven record in end-end recruitment cycle with a search firm or a corporate environment.
  • Experience of managing multiple senior stakeholders and candidates in a fast-paced environment and in a virtual/remote format.
  • Strong radar, acumen, and awareness of market landscape and latest best practice.
  • Ability to extract and read through data to form true insights and action plans.
  • Exceptional consultative skills and be able to influence stakeholders.
  • Track record of bringing a stretching Inclusion & Diversity strategy to daily work.
  • Have an understanding of the component parts of HR world to understand how it is possible to deliver a high quality service to internal client group.
  • Ability to work in the most confidential situations gaining trust and respect from candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Business fluency of English command is a must;
