Ares is looking for an experienced Talent Development Advisor to join the Global Talent Development team. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, highly dynamic Human Resources team that is constantly innovating and striving to positively impact the people of Ares.
In this newly created role, the Talent Advisor will act as a strategic advisor to our HR Business Partners and business leaders across the firm. This individual will be responsible for providing talent development advisory, helping diagnose needs, designing solutions, and implementing strategies that align with business priorities.
The Talent Advisor will be expected to build strong credibility and trusted relationships with HRBPs and leaders, providing expert guidance across all talent development activities. They will operate strategically in assessing individual teams and organizational needs, while also working tactically to design content and source external vendor partnerships to deliver solutions. This role will partner closely with leaders acting as talent advisors for their business and region and will require strong business acumen and a commercial mindset.
The successful candidate should be confident, energetic, creative, and passionate. They should thrive in ambiguous situations and enjoy consulting with various stakeholders as they create and build talent solutions. They should be able to lead towards a strategic vision and have a high attention to detail. They should use data to inform their decision making and consultation. They should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and should have experience building strong relationships with leaders at various levels across multiple locations. They should understand best practices in Talent Development and be eager to innovate, build, and evaluate.

Primary functions & responsibilities
Some areas of focus may include:
Talent Advisory & Consulting – provide talent development advisory support to leaders for their business and region. Act as a talent consultant for HR and business leaders.
Content Development & Vendor Management – Create, curate, and facilitate talent development content across a range of topics. Identify, evaluate, and manage external vendors and partners to deliver high‑quality learning solutions.
Stakeholder Partnership – Serve as a strong connector between Talent Development, HRBPs, HR partners and business leaders. Translate business needs into talent solutions and clearly communicate recommendations, outcomes, and impact.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Experience Required: Minimum 8 years of relevant Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment and 5 years in Talent Development
Proven in-depth experience in:
Designing and implementing talent development strategies in complex and global environments
Hands-on L&D content creation and delivery
Consulting with HRBPs and business leaders on talent and development needs
Sourcing, evaluating, and managing external learning vendors and partners
Organizational development, with the ability to design solutions that drive long-term progress
Change management
Project management of large-scale global initiatives
General Requirements:
Strong consulting and influencing skills to help leaders shape talent development priorities
Comfortable facilitating discussions, workshops, and various sessions with diverse audiences
Strong written and oral communication
Ability to work independently as you consult, build and deliver best in class talent development solutions that are aligned to a business need
Demonstrate comfort in leveraging data to inform strategic decisions and priorities
Be in the know of Talent Development trends, topics and best practices
Be flexible in terms of hours to coordinate with team members across various time zones

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$145,00-$185,000
