The Talent Consultant plays a critical role in driving the execution and delivery of Global Talent Management (TM) initiatives by managing integrated project plans, timelines, dependencies, and risks across multiple concurrent global programs. The role ensures structured execution, clarity of roles and responsibilities, and strong alignment across regions and stakeholders, while also providing both project management and consulting support, bringing structure to complexity, proposing solutions, clarifying responsibilities, and maintaining project discipline. The Talent Consultant has the authority to propose timelines, challenge scope changes, and proactively escalate risks to leaders.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detailoriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with data. They excel at synthesizing information, driving momentum, and enabling better decisionmaking across complex, crossfunctional work.

This role is a hybrid, global role based in Hong Kong which requires flexibility in working hours.  

Position Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Tracking

  • Own the planning, coordination, and tracking of Talent Management initiatives across all phases (discovery, design, development, activation, execution).

  • Maintain and manage integrated project schedules, milestones, risks, RAID logs, action logs, and documentation.

  • Track dependencies and drive timely progress by following up with stakeholders and ensuring decisions move forward.

  • Prepare and facilitate project meetings, including agendas, summaries, and actionable next steps with clear owners and deadlines.

  • Apply Global TM’s project management framework, including governance routines, stage‑gates, and structured reporting.

Team & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Document project workflows, roles, responsibilities, and governance expectations to maintain clarity across workstreams.

  • Coordinate cross‑team communication and ensure stakeholders (regional HR, enterprise partners, senior leaders) receive relevant, timely information.

  • Drive momentum by following up with senior stakeholders and escalating misalignment or risks as needed.

  • Facilitate trade‑off discussions with stakeholders on scope, timing, resourcing, and prioritization.

Tools, Processes & Reporting

  • Lead the use, maintenance, and continuous improvement of project management tools, dashboards, trackers, and templates.

  • Prepare presentations, status updates, and reporting for senior leaders, regional partners, and TM governance forums.

  • Strengthen and evolve ways of working to enhance project discipline, efficiency, and consistency across the TM function.

  • Maintain organized, version‑controlled project documentation and shared team resources.

Data, Insights & Recommendations

  • Partner closely with the Analytics team to secure the high‑quality data required for talent reporting, analysis, and governance.

  • Collaborate with Analytics to develop simple dashboards, insights, and summaries that support leadership decision‑making.

  • Work with Analytics to synthesize patterns, risks, and insights into recommendations that inform Talent Management strategy and execution.

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and auditable version control across all project materials by coordinating with the Analytics team on data standards and processes.

Operational & Governance Support

  • Partner with People & Culture CoE teams and enterprise groups to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and regulatory requirements.

  • Support budget management, resource planning, and financial tracking for TM initiatives.

  • Own internal compliance, audit processes, and governance documentation for TM programs.

  • Identify and champion opportunities to simplify processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in project coordination, program support, HR operations, or a similar role.

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • High attention to detail and ability to bring structure to ambiguous or fast‑moving work.

  • Comfortable working with data (Excel/Sheets, basic analysis, dashboards).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, including the ability to influence without formal authority.

  • Proactive, resourceful, and solution‑oriented mindset.

  • Familiarity with HR or Talent Management concepts is a plus.

  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet) is an advantage.

Success Measures

  • Predictable, timely delivery of TM initiatives with fewer escalations and reduced rework.

  • Clear ownership, governance, and decision pathways across all projects.

  • Strong stakeholder feedback on clarity, responsiveness, and partnership.

  • Accurate, reliable data and insights that meaningfully support leadership decisions.

  • Demonstrated improvements in project discipline, efficiency, and ways of working across Talent Management.
