Grow. Belong. Shape - Risk Management at CommBank, by joining our Financial Crime Compliance Talent Community
What is the Talent Community?
At CommBank, we are always looking for passionate people who put customers first and we would love to help you start a rewarding career in Banking. Our recruitment is ongoing and never closes, join the community anytime and we will connect you with the right opportunity as soon as it arises.
The roles that we recruit, based in Sydney, are within the Financial Crime area and include Senior Managers and Manager roles. As part of our Financial Crime team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and overseeing the Groups framework to identify, manage, and mitigate financial crime risks, including money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions, bribery, corruption, and tax evasion facilitation. This framework helps protect our customers, and community from the harm caused by financial crime.
Who we’re looking for
At CommBank, our values of Care, Courage and Commitment guide everything we do — for our customers, our communities and each other. In Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), these values take on a powerful meaning: we protect our customers and the community from harm by ensuring our bank operates safely, ethically and with integrity.
We’re building a team of compliance leaders who share these values - professionals ready to make a meaningful impact every day through insight, curiosity and principled decision-making. Whether you’re ready to step into your next challenge now or planning your move for the future, we’d love to hear from people who:
Show care by putting our customers and community at the heart of every decision — safeguarding them from financial crime, fostering trust through integrity, and leading with empathy when managing complex risk matters.
Demonstrate courage through curiosity and sound judgment — challenging assumptions, questioning the status quo and confidently advising the business on issues that balance risk, compliance and customer outcomes.
Live commitment by investing in continuous learning and professional growth — staying across emerging financial crime risks, evolving regulation and driving a culture of compliance excellence.
Thrive in collaborative environments where mutual accountability, expertise sharing and diverse perspectives are valued — building strong relationships with colleagues across Line 1 and Line 2 to influence positive change.
Feel energised working autonomously and leading teams, bringing both strategic thinking and hands-on capability to deliver high-quality outcomes that support the Group’s financial crime strategy.
Connect purpose with impact — helping shape CBA’s financial crime compliance framework, enabling the business to serve customers safely and responsibly while protecting the integrity of Australia’s financial system.
