The Role:
ERM is a fast-growing organization and as part of our ambitious growth plans, we’re updating our approach to partnering with leaders. We’re looking for an experienced Talent professional, with a strength in coaching to join us on our transformation journey. Reporting into the Business Unit Lead HRBP, this role will have an impact in the HR team and directly with the leadership team. In both fields the role will be accountable for the design and delivery of the Talent Strategy in the Business Unit to enable commercial growth.
You’ll be a strategic thinker, able to shape and form the talent strategy. As part of the People team in a fast-growing organization, you’ll also be hands on with the programmatic implementation and delivery, working with stakeholders across our business - understanding requirements, and working on successful implementation of our people plans across the business.
In this role you will:
- Design and implement a strategic talent plan to strengthen commercial acumen and leadership capability across the Central and Southern Business Units, ensuring alignment with current and future business needs.
- Partner with business leaders as a trusted advisor, diagnosing talent gaps and providing innovative, tailored solutions that support organizational growth and strategy.
- Coach and enable leaders to own top-talent development, guiding them on best practices for identification, succession, and career progression while fostering accountability for talent outcomes. Cultivate business continuity, through sustainable and realistic succession planning, coaching and challenge leaders’ thinking to plan for role readiness that reflect the future needs of the business.
- Drive sustainable succession planning, challenging assumptions and preparing leaders for future role readiness through proactive coaching and development strategies.
- Collaborate across HR functions, particularly Talent Acquisition and Business Partners, to maintain visibility of the full talent pipeline and ensure integrated workforce planning.
- Lead the annual Talent Management cycle for the Central and Southern Business Units, embedding global standards locally while continuously improving processes and practices.
- Provide actionable insights through talent analytics, leveraging data to inform decisions and shape talent strategies that deliver measurable impact.
- Champion diversity and inclusion, embedding equitable practices into all talent initiatives to build a culture of belonging and opportunity.
About you:
- Proven depth of experience in managing and progressing talent within complex, global organizations, including leadership development and succession planning.
- Expertise in coaching senior leaders and high-potential talent, with a track record of embedding coaching practices into organisational culture and driving measurable growth in leadership capability.
- Strong commercial mindset, specifically in building and implementing talent strategies that align with business priorities and respond to external market trends.
- Passionate about enabling others and building a better future
- Strategic and data-driven thinker, able to analyse talent metrics, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies that influence business outcomes.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, capable of forging trusted partnerships with senior executives and translating talent strategies into shared business objectives.
- Proactive problem solver, scanning internal and external environments to anticipate risks and design innovative talent solutions.
- Experience in leadership assessment tools and methodologies, including psychometrics, 360 feedback, and development planning.
- Advanced facilitation skills, able to lead workshops and coaching sessions that challenge thinking and drive behavioural change.
- Prior experience in professional services, consulting, or STEM-related industries (environmental, civil engineering, oil & energy, management consulting) is beneficial but not essential.
