The opportunity

Powering the world sustainably starts with the right people – and that begins with you!

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition expert with strong technical affinity to drive and shape our Field Service hiring strategy across EMEA, with a particular focus on the German‑speaking market.

This is not a role for someone who relies on a “post and pray” approach. It’s for someone who thrives on building deep networks, enjoys finding talent others struggle to reach, and takes pride in creating sustainable talent pipelines; not just for today’s demand, but for what’s coming next.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with business leaders, HR teams, and our global Talent Acquisition community to attract critical technical talent in a highly dynamic and fast‑evolving energy environment. You’ll recruit professionals who work hands‑on in the field, supporting commissioning, installation, maintenance, service operations, and grid‑integration projects across our portfolio.

If you’re passionate about recruiting technical experts, enjoy working closely with operational teams, and want to play an active role in making the energy transition a reality, we would love to hear from you.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead end‑to‑end recruitment for Field Service Engineers, Service Technicians, Commissioning Engineers, and other operational or engineering‑focused positions.

  • Engage deeply with hiring teams to understand technical requirements, safety considerations, and field‑based working environments.

  • Drive proactive sourcing and deliver market insights on talent strategies, competition, and availability in the energy/industrial sector

  • Support workforce planning and proactively build pipelines for recurring roles

  • Work closely with business leaders in the various business units

  • Align talent strategies with operational priorities and customer project demands

  • Drive continuous improvement across recruitment processes and candidate engagement

  • Represent Hitachi Energy at career fairs, technical events, and industry forums

Your background

  • Proven experience in recruiting technical and/or field service talent, ideally in energy, electrical engineering, industrial services, automation, or similar environments.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner closely with operational leaders, engineering teams, and project organizations

  • Solid understanding of sourcing methods for hard‑to‑fill, hands‑on technical roles

  • Ability to understand technical job profiles and translate them into effective recruiting approaches

  • Experience working in an international matrix organization is a plus

  • Fluent in German and English, any additional language is a plus

  • Passion for people, data‑driven decision making, and contributing to the energy transition
