The Talent Acquisition Partner at CAE plays a strategic role in managing the end‑to‑end recruitment cycle, with a primary focus on specialized roles for the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program. This role supports CAE’s Defence & Security sector by attracting high‑quality candidates aligned with both the technical requirements and the company’s values.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a recruitment portfolio with a strong emphasis on proactive sourcing for niche roles such as Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, Instructor Pilots, and other Defence & Security technical profiles. You will act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and HRBPs through regular bi‑weekly check‑ins and monthly governance meetings, ensuring visibility on recruitment activities, challenges, and progress.

You will leverage innovative sourcing techniques, build strong talent pipelines for current and future needs across CMAT and FAcT programs, and promote a culture of continuous recruitment. This role also contributes to employer branding initiatives and various talent acquisition projects, joining a team currently undergoing transformation in processes and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct full‑cycle recruitment: intake meetings, screening, interviews, salary proposal, offer management, and candidate file administration.

  • Develop and execute rigorous recruitment processes to provide an excellent candidate and manager experience.

  • Advise, guide, and influence managers throughout the recruitment cycle.

  • Lead sourcing efforts to proactively identify qualified talent for niche technical roles.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, HRBPs, and external prospects.

  • Conduct regular touchpoints: bi‑weekly check‑ins and monthly governance meetings.

  • Develop innovative strategies to attract top talent aligned with business needs.

  • Promote employer brand by showcasing CAE’s culture, values, and strengths.

  • Contribute to TA projects and continuous optimization of recruitment processes.

  • Support talent pipeline development for the CMAT and FAcT programs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field (post‑secondary education required; HR preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an agency or corporate recruiter in high‑volume environments.

  • Demonstrated expertise in sourcing (“hunter” mindset) with a proven ability to identify and attract niche technical talent.

  • Experience managing multiple requisitions throughout the year.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with managers, HRBPs, and candidates.

  • Strong ability to exercise judgment, political acumen, and influence stakeholders.

  • Excellent time management, sense of urgency, and ability to work under pressure.

  • Bilingual (English/French) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, LinkedIn, Workday ATS, and social media sourcing tools.

  • Detail‑oriented, client‑focused, and adaptable to changing priorities.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting in Defence & Security, Aviation, Engineering, or other technical environments.

  • Experience developing talent pipelines from scratch for hard‑to‑fill roles.

  • Strong analytical abilities and comfort working with recruitment metrics and data.

  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in sourcing or employer branding initiatives.
