As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by recruiting across the enterprise. You will fill a new role that sits on a geographically dispersed team in our corporate division. Your colleagues will include Sr. Talent Acquisition Partners, Talent Acquisition Partners, Talent Acquisition Coordinators, social media and HR Analytics Specialists. The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for delivering high-quality, end-to-end talent acquisition support for Toronto-based roles at Pacific Life Re, while providing sourcing and market support for US roles in partnership with TA colleagues across Pacific Life Enterprise.
Operating as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and HR partners, this role focuses on executing with excellence, proactive sourcing/pipelining and data-informed decision-making to attract and hire diverse, high-caliber talent. The Talent Acquisition Partner contributes to broader TA initiatives while maintaining primary accountability for day-to-day recruiting delivery within scope. Your passion and deep knowledge of TA practices will play a vital role in candidate sourcing and attraction. You will be motivated to build your own talent pools and candidate networks, to move us away from our reliance on agencies.
This is a hybrid role with 4 days in office.
This role is offered 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
How you will move us forward:
Develops and executes sourcing strategies to identify internal and external candidates for positions through passive and active sourcing methods, social media, and employee referrals.
Consult with hiring managers throughout the course of a search on candidate flow, candidate assessment, recruiting activities, market trends and challenges.
Communicate closely with candidates throughout the recruiting process to ensure an optimal candidate experience.
Successfully build relationships with our TA Team and key Human Resources partners to optimize our recruitment function.
Partner with other TA members on challenging projects related to process improvement, D&I, and social media.
Continuously evaluate, propose and utilize a range of recruiting tools and channels to support direct sourcing and minimize agency reliance
The experience you will bring:
A minimum of three to five years of experience performing full cycle recruiting with a strong focus on candidate assessment.
Proven experience of sourcing applicants and building strong pipeline and avoiding agency usage.
Proven experience presenting talent to hiring managers in a corporate environment.
The ability to communicate and influence to drive for best-in-class hiring results.
Prior experience recruiting for US is desirable but not required.
Workday experience in WorkDay or other HR system is desirable but not essential.
Proven experience with a track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to engage and build relationships with a variety of candidates and stakeholders
Familiarity with HR policies and relevant employment law issues
Excellent organizational skills and ability to act and work on own initiative
Proactive, solutions-focused approach to continuous improvement

Compensation Range
The compensation range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
