Talent Acquisition Manager – South APAC

The Talent Acquisition Manager - South APAC will lead end-to-end recruitment for Mintel’s Kuala Lumpur office, partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the regions to attract and hire top talent across a wide range of roles. This is a hands-on role combining strategic talent planning with volume delivery and strong employer branding in the local market. 

The role balances: 

  • 10% Talent Acquisition Strategy 
  • 20% Account Management / Stakeholder Partnership 
  • 70% Hands-on Recruitment Delivery including management of TA specialist 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Talent Acquisition Strategy (10%)
  • Develop and execute a localized talent acquisition strategy aligned to Mintel’s global hiring priorities, including elevating Mintel’s employee brand within KL. 
  • Use data and market insights to inform workforce planning and hiring forecasts. 
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes, candidate experience, and time-to-hire, within global guidelines. 
  1. Account Management & Stakeholder Partnership (20%)
  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and senior leaders across the Kuala Lumpur hub. 
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with key stakeholders to understand business needs. 
  • Provide regular updates on hiring progress using Greenhouse. 
  • Influence and challenge stakeholders on role design, compensation expectations, and hiring decisions where appropriate. 
  1. Recruitment Delivery (70%)
  • Coach and manage the TA specialist to deliver an exceptional service across the business 
  • Own full-cycle recruitment for a broad range of roles, from junior to senior level. 
  • Manage job intake meetings, sourcing strategies, interviews, offers, and onboarding handovers. 
  • Proactively source talent through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and networking. 
  • Ensure a high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey. 

Employer Branding & Early Careers 

  • Lead local employer branding initiatives to position Mintel as an employer of choice in KL. 
  • Build and maintain partnerships with key universities and student organizations. 
  • Design and deliver internship, graduate, and campus recruitment programs. 
  • Represent Mintel at career fairs, networking events, and industry forums. 

Team Leadership 

  • Line manage and coach one Talent Acquisition Specialist. 
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, performance feedback, and development support. 
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance recruitment culture. 

Key Skills & Experience 

Essential: 

  • 6+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment, ideally in an in-house or RPO environment. 
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment across multiple job families. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership engagement. 
  • Experience leading employer branding or early careers initiatives. 
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment. 
  • Expertise in Greenhouse or similar ATS. Real passion and curiosity for AI and how it can transform the TA space. 
  • Prior people management experience.
