About the Team/Role
We are seeking a highly hands-on, execution-focused Talent Acquisition Lead to own and scale hiring in India, with the role based in Bangalore.
This position is ideal for someone who can personally deliver full-cycle recruiting while designing and executing an India hiring strategy that supports rapid growth and long-term scalability.
In addition to owning hiring outcomes, you will lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters in India, operating as a true player-coach. You will set clear expectations, drive accountability, and elevate recruiting capability through coaching, best practices, and performance management.
You will serve as the primary owner of India hiring, partnering closely with business and engineering leaders to translate workforce plans into results. This is not a purely strategic role, you will source, screen, interview, close candidates, and continuously optimize how we hire in the Bangalore talent market.
How you’ll make an impact
India & Bangalore Hiring Strategy
Own the end-to-end talent acquisition strategy for India, with primary focus on Bangalore as our core hiring hub.
Build hiring roadmaps by function, role type, and growth phase within Bangalore.
Partner with leadership on workforce planning, hiring forecasts, and headcount prioritization.
Establish scalable recruiting processes optimized for the Bangalore talent ecosystem.
Hands-On Full Lifecycle Recruiting
Personally manage full-cycle recruiting for priority roles across engineering, product, data, and business functions in Bangalore.
Source and engage candidates through direct sourcing, referrals, job boards, local networks, and campus/early talent pipelines where applicable.
Conduct screening calls, structured interviews, and candidate evaluations.
Manage offer strategy, compensation alignment, negotiations, and closing.
Process, Metrics & Optimization
Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve speed, quality, and cost of hiring.
Define and track recruiting KPIs (time-to-fill, quality of hire, funnel conversion, candidate experience).
Deliver regular hiring insights and dashboards to senior leadership.
Ensure a consistent, high-quality candidate experience across all hiring stages.
Team Leadership & Enablement
Act as a player-coach, leading and mentoring recruiters as the Bangalore team scales.
Set clear standards for sourcing quality, interview rigor, and hiring manager engagement.
Build repeatable best practices tailored to the Bangalore hiring market
Tools, Compliance & Market Expertise
Demonstrated proficiency using Workday as an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage requisitions, candidate workflows, reporting, and compliance.
Hands-on experience leveraging Phenom as a CRM for talent pipelining, campaign management, and candidate engagement.
Own and optimize recruiting technology workflows across ATS, CRM, sourcing, and recruitment marketing platforms.
Ensure compliance with India employment laws, background verification requirements, and local hiring regulations.
Maintain strong knowledge of Bangalore market trends, compensation benchmarks, competitor hiring activity, and talent availability
Experience you’ll bring
7+ years of Talent Acquisition experience, including hands-on full-cycle recruiting.
Demonstrated ownership of hiring in India, with strong preference for deep Bangalore market experience.
Proven success recruiting technical and hard-to-fill roles in competitive talent markets.
Experience operating as a hands-on lead or player-coach.
Data-driven mindset with strong command of recruiting metrics and reporting.
Hands-on experience with ATS, HRIS, sourcing, and recruitment marketing tools.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Working knowledge of India labor laws, hiring compliance, and background checks.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in HR, Business, or a related field preferred.
