About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Operations Senior Manager to build and lead a high‑performing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps capability supporting enterprise‑scale platforms. This role establishes reliability engineering standards, embeds automation‑first operations, and partners closely with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure technology services.
The leader drives operational maturity through modern SRE practices, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution, ensuring services meet availability, performance, and recoverability objectives while reducing operational risk and manual effort.
In this role, you will:
- Establish and lead enterprise SRE and DevOps practices across systems operations, embedding reliability engineering principles into supported platforms.
- Define and operationalize service reliability frameworks, including service‑level objectives, indicators, error budgets, and production readiness standards.
- Own reliability strategy, resilience patterns, and operational acceptance for business‑critical platforms.
- Drive standardization across incident, problem, change, and post‑incident management processes.
- Lead major incident response, ensuring rapid stabilization, clear executive and customer communications, and disciplined follow‑through.
- Champion automation to reduce manual effort and operational risk, including runbook automation and self‑healing workflows.
- Build and evolve observability strategies that enable proactive detection, rapid diagnosis, and data‑driven reliability improvements.
- Manage and develop teams of analysts, engineers, and managers providing technical services and operational support.
- Partner with application, infrastructure, and product teams to balance delivery velocity with operational resilience.
- Determine Systems Operations strategy and execution priorities to meet moderate to high‑risk deliverables.
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Systems Operations.
- Develop a culture of ownership, operational discipline, continuous improvement, and talent development aligned with business strategy.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Systems Engineering and Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
- 5+ years of experience leading reliability, production operations, or SRE teams responsible for availability, incident response, observability, and operational readiness for large‑scale, business‑critical platforms
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to operationalize SRE practices within complex enterprise or regulated environments
- Experience supporting mission‑critical platforms with high availability and recoverability requirements
- Experience driving automation, CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code, and operational standardization at scale
- Demonstrated ability to design and leverage observability solutions using metrics, logs, traces, and events
- Experience applying blameless post‑incident review practices to drive systemic improvements
- Experience interpreting and developing policies and procedures aligned with enterprise risk, security, and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting audits and risk assessments with strong documentation and operational controls
- Experience partnering closely with both application engineering and infrastructure teams
- Ability to communicate complex operational and reliability topics clearly to executive audiences

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$159,000.00 - $305,000.00
