Reporting to the Systems Director, the Systems Integration and Interface Manager will oversee and manage the seamless integration of all railway systems and subsystems within the project scope. This role requires close coordination with various functions and departments to ensure alignment of activities and the timely completion of prerequisites for each phase of the project. The Systems Integration and Interface Manager will collaborate closely with Parsons’ Systems Integration Manager, as well as other subcontractors and designers, to ensure compliance with established processes and requirements, with the objective of successfully completing trial runs and achieving readiness for revenue service

Job Description

  • Manage the daily activities of the System Integration team. Develop, monitor, and control System Integration deliverables, including ICDs, DCIMs, System Configurations, and the Design Interface Matrix, and coordinate their preparation with each subsystem lead. Ensure all deliverables are completed in accordance with agreed quality standards and project requirements. Promote engineering best practices and uphold the highest product safety standards.
  • Provide advanced technical expertise within your area of specialization to resolve complex issues, ensuring solutions are timely, practical, and cost-effective.
  • Support coordination with the client, contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure system integration and interface requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and fully addressed. Collaborate with partners and subsystem teams to confirm interface requirements are understood and properly implemented.
  • Monitor and coordinate system integration testing during the Testing & Commissioning (T&C) phase, reporting to the T&C Director. Ensure all open items identified in test reports are accurately documented and support the preparation of impact assessments as required.
  • Coordinate system engineering design activities to ensure proper integration of earthing and bonding, stray current control, EMC/EMI, and noise and vibration requirements. Support the execution of related tests during the T&C phase.
  • Collaborate with the Document Control, Quality, Installation, and T&C teams to track and coordinate completion of deliverables required to achieve readiness for trial runs.
  • Maintain and update System Integration records within the Procore system to ensure accurate and current documentation.

Perform other duties as assigned or initiated, subject to manager approval.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • General understanding of system integration principles and railway systems processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical reports, specifications, design drawings, and related documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality results within agreed budgets and schedules.
  • 5-10 years of experience in railway projects, with exposure to systems integration and interface management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-organized, proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently.
