We are seeking a skilled Systems/ Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and support the operation, maintenance, and improvement of our Linux-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings hands-on Linux administration experience, basic networking knowledge, familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and a mindset oriented toward automation and security best practices.
What You’ll Do:
• Manage and maintain Linux servers (RHEL-compatible distributions such as Rocky Linux and CentOS), ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Design, implement, and maintain system configurations including server hardware, storage solutions, and virtualization platforms.
• Monitor system and network performance, perform regular audits, and proactively troubleshoot issues.
• Install, upgrade, and patch system software and applications.
• Develop and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and policies.
• Configure and manage L4/L7 load balancers.
• Implement security best practices including access control, firewall management, OS hardening, and integration with IDS/IPS systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support their services and provide technical consulting.
• Track and assess emerging vulnerabilities and security advisories that may affect infrastructure or services.
• Manage users, permissions, authentication systems, and service-related troubleshooting.
• Work closely with development teams to support application deployment, infrastructure dependencies, and issue resolution.
• Ensure effective backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures—regularly verify backup integrity.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies to recommend improvements to the existing infrastructure.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support and incident response.
Who You Are:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Linux administration.
• Strong proficiency in scripting with a focus on automation and tooling.
• Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching), firewalls, and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization (KVM, VMware, Proxmox) and containerization
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; GCP is a plus).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix, or similar).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently on complex issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications (RHCE, Linux+, AWS SysOps, Security+) are an advantage.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes is beneficial.
