Position Summary

The Systems Finance Analyst provides essential operational, analytical, and system-based support to the Finance Systems team. This role ensures financial data integrity, process efficiency, and timely execution of key systems and reporting activities that support decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with technical proficiency in data management, analytics, and automation tools. This position will collaborate closely with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to maintain data accuracy, improve processes, and support system-driven finance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute financial data management activities, including daily validations, month-end close support, and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Retrieve, analyze, and interpret financial data using tools such as SQL, Cognos, and Power BI to support reporting, variance analysis, and business insights.
  • Automate and streamline processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Support end-user requests and resolve user’s issues by investigating and resolving with the appropriate technical team.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, and business partners to resolve system issues, enhance data flows, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in team stand-ups and cross-functional meetings to manage workload, prioritize activities, and align on key deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial systems support or financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling) and SQL.
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting tools such as Power BI and Cognos.
  • Understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and data validation processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data automation tools (e.g., Power Automate).
  • Experience in financial data reconciliation and variance analysis.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and deliver actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
