Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU) has an exciting career opportunity for a Systems Engineer – Level 2 or 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The selected Systems Engineer responsibilities will include the support of the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the Systems Engineering Team for the Ground Fire Control (GFC) product.

Basic Qualifications (BQs):
This requisition may be filled at either a Systems Engineer – Level 2 or a Principal Systems Engineer – Level 3.
Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications for Systems Engineer - Level 2: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree and 0-2 years of related work experience.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer - Level 3: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related work experience, or 1 year of related work experience with a PhD. in STEM.
Must have a solid understanding of system engineering processes and principles, along with proven experience in applying them to develop product solutions.
Must be familiar with DOORS, Cameo, and MBSE.
Must have experience with Software development and the verification of requirements.
Experience on a large-scale missile defense system like GMD.
Applicants must possess good communication skills.
Applicants must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the MDA GMD program.
Battle Management or Fire Control experience.
MBSE or INCOSE Certifications.
Experience developing SE artifacts, including specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, and similar documents.
