What this Job Entails:
We are seeking an experienced IT System Engineer for the DERMS application platform. A strong applicant will be an expert on Commissioning and Interoperability of 2030.5 field devices with Hybrid Cloud environments and API integrations. The role will be responsible for the commissioning of DERMS sites and the associated application maintenance and support. This role will be onsite 2-3 days a week in the office.

Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
Works on problems of moderate scope
Receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
Commissioning and Interoperability activities for DERMS control sites.
Oversight and Accountability for schedule execution for Grid DERMS Flex Connect site commissioning from the point of signed customer contract through SCADA release letter.
Issue resolution for schedule changes during the commissioning period.
Coordinate with distribution operations engineers for their review of key customer deliverables like single line diagrams, and control scheme documentation.
Coordinate with vendors for inputs to feeder forecasting (SCADA, weather, M&V data) for control site implementation as well as feeders of interest for related programs like Demand Response, and large load customers build out.
Coordinate with the vendor, the aggregator/2030.5 vendor, Distribution Operation Engineers, and IT support for site systems testing, and commissioning activities.
Coordinate with the ADMS SCADA Specialist Teams and/or their delegate, to complete ICCP Mappings in a timely manner.
Coordinate with Distribution Operations Engineers to get implementation sign-off and SCADA release letters completed.
Provide overview, scheduling, and project support for existing and new vendors who wish to complete interoperability testing.
Accountability for keeping the interoperability testing in compliance and on track with SQCDM requirements.

Required Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with DERMS systems and other utilities-related applications.
Builds productive internal and external working relationships
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
Experience with computing networks, platforms, and software architectures
Knowledge and understanding of the definition and traceability of system requirements
Experience in the implementation of system requirements verification methods
Experience in the planning of system test activities
Strong presentation and organizational skills
Effective written and oral communication skills
Mental ability to perform engineering problem solving and analytical tasks
Able to work under project deadlines and associated cost and schedule constraints
Physical Demand & Work Environment:
Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
Must be able to use a computer
Must have the ability to communicate effectively

Salary Range
