Lead strategic initiatives supporting data management, secure data transport, and enterprise IT modernization for Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. Provide technical advisory and systems architecture support to government program offices. This role operates within multi-level classified environments and is responsible for shaping architecture strategies, modernization roadmaps, and system integration approaches across complex mission systems to achieve resilient, interoperable, and data-driven architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of data modernization and IT transformation programs supporting mission-critical systems
  • Provide technical advisory support to government leadership on data management and modernization strategy
  • Oversee development and integration of secure data transport architectures, communications infrastructure, and integrated mission systems and networks
  • Drive modernization of legacy systems to enable improved data accessibility, interoperability, and operational resiliency
  • Assist Government PMs in managing program performance across cost, schedule, risk, and technical execution
  • Support government decision-making through technical assessments, architecture reviews, and risk analysis
  • Coordinate across engineering, cybersecurity, acquisition, and operational stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical solutions with mission requirements
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community security policies within classified environments
  • Define and guide modernization roadmaps, including transition of legacy systems to interoperable, resilient, and data-driven architectures
  • Evaluate system designs for scalability, interoperability, security compliance, and mission effectiveness
  • Participate in design reviews, technical baselines, and architecture governance boards
     

Work Environment:

  • Location: Remote

  • Travel Requirements: Moderate 20% - 50%

  • Working Hours: Standard

Required:

  • B.S. in Engineering discipline, Computer Science, IT/Networking, or Applied Physics

  • Min 10 years of relevant experience including work on classified secure systems in support of mission operations, aligned with Key Responsibilities of the position

  • Active DoD TS/ SCI Clearance is required to be considered for this position

Desired:

  • U.S. Military - operational experience with ISR platforms and/or systems and supporting infrastructure

  • Additional relevant training through U.S. Military

40hrs

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
