The Opportunity:
- Support the sustainment, reliability, maintainability, and availability for the Satellite Control Network (SCN).
- Support communication systems that link satellite operations centers with worldwide remote satellite tracking stations.
- Support commercial satellite manufacturers to test satellite communications compatibility with the SCN.
Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision, perform a variety of specific engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature.
- Help to develop and maintain an active Obsolescence program, supporting SCN sustainment.
- Perform obsolescence analysis activities on system configuration items (CI) in support of overall SCN system sustainment.
- Write Engineering Analysis with recommendations to the Government.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, math or equivalent.
- Zero to three years of related experience with:
- Requirements management and functional analysis.
- Using analysis tools (MS Excel entry and graphing).
- Working with engineering/project teams.
Desired:
- Solid decision making and critical thinking skills.
- Self-motivated and have attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, with a desire to learn new skills.
- Effective professional interpersonal skills.
- Experience with the following is a plus:
- Obsolescence studies.
- Knowledge of DoD/Air Force or Space Force Systems Engineering concepts and processes.
- Knowledge of DoD/Air Force databases, such as Integrated maintenance Data System (IMDS), Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S).
- Programming experience in Python.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$58,000-$115,900
