We are seeking a skilled and motivated Microsoft Windows Systems Engineer with specialized experience in Active Directory, Group Policy, storage area networks (SAN), and virtualization technologies such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise IT environments, with preferred experience supporting Operational Technology (OT), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (Primary Duties and Responsibilities)
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows-based server environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Manage and support storage area networks (SAN), including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
- Administer Active Directory, including user and group management, organizational units, and domain trusts.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to support security baselines, operational standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate system administration tasks, improve operational efficiency, and standardize server configurations.
- Deploy, configure, and manage virtualization platforms, primarily VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Plan, implement, and maintain security patching and vulnerability remediation processes for Windows servers in accordance with organizational policies and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support OT, SCADA, and ICS environments, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise IT systems.
- Monitor system health, analyze performance data, and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and system documentation.
- Respond to and resolve escalated support incidents and service requests related to Windows systems, SAN, and virtualization platforms.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to Windows systems engineering and OT environments.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required Experience, Education, Licenses, and Certifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Windows Systems Engineer or similar role in an enterprise environment.
- Expertise in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
- Experience with SAN technologies (e.g., Everpure (Pure), Dell EMC, NetApp, or similar), including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies, particularly VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or equivalent is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (Examples below)
- Experience supporting Operational Technology, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Automation and PowerShell scripting experience preferred
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Perform sedentary work- exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
