The Opportunity: 

Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in secure integration and deployment of advanced technologies on unmanned platforms and associated mission systems to support our country? As a systems security and network security engineer, you can identify the technology, systems engineering, and cybersecurity approaches needed to assess the selection of mission-critical technologies, make recommendations, and integrate the best solutions and security strategies. We need your experience to oversee the development and implementation of advanced technology solutions that will inform how we deploy technology to the fight. 

On our team, you’ll supervise a team as they troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of advanced technologies, unmanned systems and associated mission systems. You’ll manage the research of technology and market trends to further develop approaches and solutions. Using your expertise in secure architecture design, cybersecurity compliance, communication protocols, and unmanned systems, you’ll assess security threats and implement secure technologies and designs for advanced capabilities.  

In this role, you’ll directly impact how advanced technology is being leveraged to accelerate robotic and autonomous systems by integrating new solutions used by the warfighter in the protection of our country. With mentoring, challenging hands-on problem-solving, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

What You’ll Work On: 

  • Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of secure design and communication protocols with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.

  • Work with teams to integrate hardware and software components while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.

  • Lead risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas

  • Leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have:   

  • Experience with unmanned systems and mission system technologies   

  • Knowledge of secure communication protocols and resilient system design  

  • Ability to be a troubleshooter and a self-starter to learn new technologies quickly 

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Engineering, Science, or Cybersecurity field

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience with autonomy technologies and mission system technologies

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or advanced technology platforms

  • Knowledge of communication protocols across multiple mediums

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and secure deployment practices

  • Ability to lead delivery teams, work independently, manage projects, and collaborate across teams

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field

  • CompTIA Security+  Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,900.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
