What you will do- From a Lead perspective, identifies and plans for current and future customer requirements. Analyzes complex business and technical problems.
- Participates in Project team work, and consistently completes all assigned project tasks on time. May Lead and assign project tasks to junior peers.
- Designs, develops, tests and documents complex custom application software or directs these activities when necessary.
- Pro-actively reviews, recommends and implements data security, integrity, backup and recovery procedures for entire systems.
- Stays current on all emerging information technology relevant to assigned systems.
- Responds on a 7/24 on call basis to application and customer problems; ensures that any problem within his/her ability to correct is addressed in a timely and professional manner.
Education/Formal Training Requirements- Required - Master's Degree Healthcare Administration

Work Experience Requirements- Required - Technical systems analysis/programming 5-7 years
- Preferred - Technical systems analysis/programming or general business with clinical knowledge/training 10+ years
Licenses and Certifications Requirements- Preferred - Relevant information technology industry recognized professional certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Demonstrated expertise in Information Technology support.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, lead others, and to consistently exercise sound judgment and initiative in a wide range of circumstances.
- Knowledge of two or more applicable micro-computer and/or mainframe computer application development tools.
- Significant experience in healthcare, preferably in a large multi-hospital system.
- Strong analytical skills and extensive clinical and business knowledge preferred.
- Wide degree of creativity and latitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Typical mediums of communication include face-to-face dialog, telephone, memos, and electronic mail.
Supervision Provided by this Position- Provides leadership and acts as resource to more junior Associates as assigned.
Physical Demands- The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Some locations, such as user or equipment locations, may present very close quarters.
- Must have good balance and coordination.
- The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently. Must occasionally lift and/or move equipment up to 40 pounds with assistance.
- The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
- The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.

- Subject to standard office working conditions with intermittent exposure to noisy computer equipment.
- Required to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to interpret equipment status indicators to determine appropriate operating conditions. Indicators may include visual and/or auditory techniques or cures.
- Ability to work varying hours due to the accessibility of individuals or equipment involved in different projects, the need to minimize system downtime or user interruption, or to recover from hardware or software failures.
- Ability to occasionally use small hand tools and be able to manipulate small equipment components such as screws, nuts, or other fastening devices as usually found on computer equipment.
- Subject to regular periods of repetitive hand motion in the operation of computer terminals and other equipment.
- Ability to travel to any area of the organization, both local and remote as needed. Must provide own transportation.
