General Sales & Marketing work focuses on a combination of general sales and marketing work including: Face-to-face and/or remote sales to new or existing customers. Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services and/or solutions. Planning, developing, and delivering the marketing strategy for products/services and associated brand(s). Evaluating, measuring, and managing the product/brand P&L (e.g., budgeting, expenditures, profitability, return-on-investment, etc.) Incumbents in this specialization may also provide customer service and support in the form of information on product/price and resolution to issues related to billing, shipping, delivery, complaints, etc. Incumbents matching to this specialization are compensated based on achievement of sales targets.
1. Volume and profit Sells the Hitachi Energy portfolio of products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, business model and profitability targets for assigned Operating Unit/Business Units/Product Groups. 2. Customer relations Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, early engagement to promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering and align to provide a solution. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. 3. Sales plans Prepares sales plans using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls. Updated the company tools with regular updates and status. 4. Sales Creates added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicates details in accordance with Hitachi Energy offering and strategy (scope, business model, delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions) in accordance with the required Hitachi Energy approval process and mandates. 5. Marketing Ensures efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers. Ensuring that the latest changes to Hitachi Energy portfolio and business models are communicated clearly to customers. 6. New market opportunities Support Market Managers and the Front End organization to Identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designate market and ensures know-how sharing and crosscollaboration. 7. Administration Manages administrative procedures in the sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed. 8. Offer preparation Prepares offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department. Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and terms and conditions in accordance with the required Hitachi Energy approval process and mandates.
