We are looking for a System Safety Engineer (d/f/m) in Manching
You will ensure that Airbus products are developed, designed, produced and supported according to the state-of-art and the relevant safety standards (associated to airworthiness regulations). Safety of the vehicle is maintained throughout its whole lifecycle, considering Human Factors and operation.
You are interested in assessing complex functions through Aircrafts and Systems, analyse the propagation of mechanical or electrical/electronical malfunctions and unintended human operation throughout the system with regards to hazardous Aircraft reaction.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Lead and conduct main System and/or SW Safety assessments (Functional Hazard Assessment/System Safety Assessment or equivalent) activities for military aircraft, systems and software, supporting the phases until certification
Lead and conduct System and/or Software Risk Analyses, according to the applicable guidance and standards, which are required to support the continuous aircraft development (including Permit to Fly/Type Certificate)
Lead and conduct Common-Cause Analyses (Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis and Common Mode Analysis)
Lead, manage and generate safety requirements, safety evidences (tests, simulation, analyses), Safety Procedures and Limitations, interface with other technical domains (processes, maintenance, human factors, aircraft performance and quality, etc.)
Strong influence on aircraft/systems/software architecture development according to the required Safety/Integrity
Act as interface at the required level with internal and external stake holders (Chief Engineering, Project Management, Design Teams, Airworthiness Authorities, Industrial Partners, Customers, Suppliers)
Review, approval and application of supplier data regarding Safety and Reliability
Desired skills and qualifications
Master degree of Aerospace Engineering, Physical Science or similar discipline
Minimum 3 years working experience in related engineering field including System and Software development
Knowledge/understanding of Aircraft systems
System/Software Safety Assessment experience would be an advantage, at least System and Software Engineering experience with interface to Safety Assessment/Airworthiness/Certification
Advanced skills with MS Office are presumed
Good communication skills and strong problem-solving capability are desirable
Experience with Safety Tools (e.g. Isograph FaultTree+, Reliability Workbench)
Very good English language skills, German language is desirable
