Remote:
This position is remote within our NC, SC, VA footprint. Although this position is primarily remote, there are occasional events and meetings that may require you to work on-site at one of our Truliant locations.
Purpose of the Job
The System Operations Support Analyst supports the critical batch processes at the Credit Union. This position assists in maintaining the health of all batch processes by monitoring and intervening when necessary to ensure the Core system progresses through its batch processes overnight to prepare for the next business day. The System Operations Support Analyst is also is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining batch systems (24x7).
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Participates in new product implementation meetings and vendor discussions to assess needs and product requirements as they relate to onboarding of new batch processes.
- Provides 24x7 monitoring of batch processing to ensure successful completion.
- Handles incoming ticket requests for the System Operations group.
- Takes corrective action and provide quick resolution to resolve batch related disruptions.
- Escalates complex or urgent issues to senior or specialized support staff, keeping users and management informed about the status and progress.
- Participates in an on-call rotation to respond to batch related issues or requests that made impede upon batch scheduling.
- Assists senior level System Operations Support Analysts to develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures.
- Helps to maintain a fully documented inventory of jobs and workflows for daily/nightly, month-end, quarter-end and year-end batch processes.
- Stays current with the latest technology tools and trends.
- Uses a proactive approach to learning to help anticipate issues before they escalate.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be familiar with MS SQL and Oracle database management for query analysis
- Must have an understanding of data management is required
- Must have an understanding of Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Desktop applications, (specifically Office platforms, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome) is preferred
- Must have working knowledge of RDP protocol and remote sessions
- Must have effective time management skills with flexibility to be able to shift resources and priorities and execute tasks as required.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Must be detail oriented and well organized.
- Must have the capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have the ability to prioritize multiple open issues.
- Must have strong ethical principles and integrity in handling sensitive information.
- Must have the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Should possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant’s members.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping required
- Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
Education and Background
- Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in IT related field or 1 to 2 years equivalent experience required
- Previous experience in a financial institution in operations or teller experience is preferred.
- Previous experience with scheduling tools (such as Automic/Appworx) preferred.
- Experience with transactional financial systems preferred, (such as Fiserv DNA stack).
- Experience with Microsoft SQL and Oracle SQL querying preferred.
