The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as System Manager and Application Owner for multiple HR, Project Portfolio, and Legal applications.

  • Act as a critical First Line of Defense, ensuring compliance with MUFG Enterprise Information Security standards, including Identity and Access Management (IAM).

  • Ensure application controls, reconciliation processes, and data security standards are designed, implemented, and continuously monitored.

  • Facilitate and maintain supporting knowledge architecture, operating standards, and technical documentation.

  • Prepare and present complex technical and architectural concepts to internal business and technology stakeholders.

  • Lead the resolution of complex application, integration, and data-related issues, including those with limited precedent.

  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing both business and technical guidance across assigned platforms.

  • Develop, maintain, and govern HR Technology Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring alignment with SDLC and audit requirements.

  • Manage and mentor a global team of approximately 5–6 resources across the US and India.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional, global, and remote teams in a highly dynamic and evolving environment.

  • Evaluate and assess SaaS vendor solutions during demos, balancing business needs, technology fit, security posture, and compliance requirements.

  • Drive responsible adoption of AI-enabled solutions, including building and governing AI agents where appropriate to improve business and technology processes.

  • Assess the use of AI within existing applications versus enterprise-provided Microsoft Copilot capabilities, and challenge vendor security controls, guardrails, and risk postures.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 7–10 years of experience within the financial services industry.

  • Demonstrated experience as an Application Owner for enterprise platforms.

  • Strong working knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and enterprise security controls.

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of people management experience.

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.

  • Proven experience in data security, technology controls, and regulatory imperatives.

  • Experience with Project Portfolio Management tools (e.g., Planview or similar platforms).

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and prompt-based AI capabilities (hands-on experience preferred).

  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, OKR frameworks, and enterprise delivery models.

  • Ability to create detailed system interface specifications, data mappings, and process designs.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Excellent collaboration and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Results-oriented, proactive, and highly adaptable to organizational and technology change.

  • Advanced knowledge and skills to resolve complex IT and application-related issues.

  • Experience with planning, forecasting, and resource management across multiple IT functional areas.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams with diverse skill sets and disciplines.

Other:

  • As per MUFG’s Return to Office policy, a candidate must work onsite for 4 days and 1 day remotely.

  • The typical base pay range for this role is between $140K - $174K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
