We are seeking a Systems Analysis Manager within the Systems Integration Organization to shape the future of Environmental & Airframe Control Systems (EACS). 

In this high-impact leadership role, your technical expertise and strategic vision will directly influence the design, integration, and verification of next-generation EACS aerospace systems. 

You will lead a talented team of aero thermal fluid engineers in a dynamic environment focused on innovation, precision, and performance excellence across complex system development programs. 

In this role, you will lead both people and technology—ensuring world-class execution of system performance analysis and verification activities. 

 

What You Will Do 

  • Partner with value stream and engineering leadership to define and exceed technical and programmatic requirements, fostering a culture of excellence that propels innovation and sets new standards for success.  

  • Collaborate with value stream and chief engineers to strategically align programs with the proper resources, ensuring teams are empowered, well-supported, and positioned to drive transformational results.  

  • Lead team in successful system design reviews, shaping the future of the program by providing critical insights that enhance design integrity, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with the broader vision.  

  • Drive continuous improvement of systems engineering processes, championing a mindset of agility, innovation, and optimization that enables the team to adapt and thrive in an ever-evolving landscape.  

  • Identify and manage risks associated with systems integration, proactively developing transformative mitigation strategies that not only safeguard program success but open new avenues for growth and improvement.  

  • Develop precise cost estimates and identify capital investment needs, transforming financial planning into a powerful tool for driving sustainable growth and empowering strategic decision-making.  

  • Lead the execution of programs within approved budget and schedule, not just meeting targets, but transforming how the organization delivers value by ensuring efficiency, quality, and high performance across all phases with a critical eye on system and component reliability.  

  • Drive technical challenges to resolution, leading with a solutions-focused mindset to remove obstacles, inspire the team, and create breakthroughs that keep the program moving forward and transform technical limitations into opportunities.  

  • Drive innovation and strategic direction across the group relative to processes and methods supporting business goals, delighting the customer.  

  • Engage in talent development and mentoring to assist with career development and individual development plans (IDPs). Build relationships with direct reports with enthusiasm and passion encouraging innovation. 

  •  Focus on the business, OEM customer and operator experience with fielded systems considering product cost, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and maintenance/repair costs during the design and development phases of the program.  

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience 

  • Experience leading and managing teams, including coaching and talent development 

Qualification We Prefer 

  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Model Based Design (MBD). 

  • Experience partnering with engineering leadership and value stream organizations to define technical requirements and deliver complex systems engineering programs through development, integration, and verification phases.  

  • Experience translating organizational strategy into executable engineering roadmaps, aligning technical scope, resources, and program milestones to support delivery objectives 

  • Experience collaborating with chief engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to align system design and execution decisions with program priorities, resource constraints, and delivery requirements.  

  • Experience leading systems engineering teams through structured technical design reviews, driving closure of technical issues and ensuring compliance with system requirements and engineering standards.  

  • Experience directing cross-functional engineering teams, coordinating execution across disciplines while maintaining alignment on technical objectives, schedules, and deliverables.  

  • Experience implementing engineering process improvements that increased execution efficiency, reduced rework, and improved program throughput.  

  • Experience identifying, analyzing, and managing technical and programmatic risks, including development and execution of mitigation plans within system integration environments.  

  • Experience developing cost estimates, budget inputs, and capital investment analyses to support program planning, funding decisions, and resource allocation.  

  • Experience managing engineering execution against cost, schedule, and technical performance baselines, including tracking progress and driving corrective actions to maintain program commitments.  

  • Experience resolving complex technical issues across system, hardware, and software interfaces to support system integration and program continuity.  

  • Experience leading initiatives to improve engineering efficiency, streamline workflows, and align execution practices with program and customer requirements.  

  • Experience incorporating manufacturability, maintainability, lifecycle cost, producibility, and operator requirements into early-stage design decisions to inform trade studies and optimize downstream performance and cost.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
