Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated System/ Datacenter Administrator-L1 to join our Data Center Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the proactive monitoring of compute and link alerts, physical installation of server hardware, and the execution of Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) configurations to ensure optimal system performance.
You will join a collaborative team of technical experts dedicated to maintaining seamless data center operations and providing high-quality support to both internal cross-functional teams and external clients.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Responsibility 1: Execute the physical deployment, rack mounting, and cabling of server hardware while configuring Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) levels 0, 1, 5, and 10 to ensure high availability and data integrity.
Responsibility 2: Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), and Information Technology (IT) asset teams to address hardware issues and ensure seamless infrastructure integration.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
3 to 8 years of experience in Datacenter Operations.
Strong knowledge of server hardware, storage devices, virtualization technologies, and Advanced Administration for Operating Systems including Windows, Linux, and Ubuntu.
Proven ability in technical troubleshooting, specifically regarding RAID rebuilds, hardware component testing, and providing timely resolutions to create a positive customer support experience.
