About the role

  • Collaborate with hospital teams and external stakeholders to understand needs and provide innovative financial solutions.

  • Analyze and present integrated financial data to guide strategic decisions and improve business performance.

  • Review proposed investments, assessing feasibility, affordability, and ROI to support key initiatives.

  • Mentor teams and promote best-practice finance processes, reporting, and performance management.

  • Ensure compliance with Health Reforms and government funding regulations while supporting critical strategic initiatives.

About you

  • Qualified & Experienced: CA/CPA with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline and 5+ years’ experience in financial management or business partnering, preferably in healthcare or pathology.

  • Analytical & Strategic: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights that drive decisions.

  • Technical Expertise: Advanced budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling skills; experience with Oracle, Power BI, or similar systems; knowledge of pathology cost structures and funding models.

  • Influential Communicator: Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to build strong partnerships with clinicians, managers, and executives.

  • Leadership & Collaboration: Proven leadership and team management capability, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and a high-performing finance culture.

In this role you will be based at St Vincent’s hospital, Darlinghurst.
