To strengthen our team, we are looking for an Implementation Manager (m/f/d) to support our customers in the successful delivery and rollout of complex solutions within the financial services environment. In this role, you will work closely with internal departments, project managers, and customers, gradually taking on responsibility in challenging implementation projects.
As part of your onboarding, we provide structured training, hands‑on learning opportunities, and experienced mentoring, enabling motivated candidates with a lower level of experience or qualifications to grow into the role both professionally and personally over time.
Responsibilities:
- Support end‑to‑end client onboarding as part of a team – gather and define the as well as contribute to project planning and execution in coordination with the Project Manager
- Help identify risks and dependencies and support alignment between internal teams and customers
- Deliver effort estimations and consistently help ensure project deliverables meet project specifications with a particular emphasis on efficiency and high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams (IT, Development, Support) to create solution design and concept documents. You will offer the customer advice based on technological considerations and industry best practices.
- Conception of the assignment for the necessary adjustments in the SWIFT applications (SWIFT services, profiles, certificates, endpoints, routing, RMA etc) as well as in third-party applications (e.g. EBICS) including connection concept
- Creation of test documentation for automated tests in collaboration with Development team
- Installation and configuration of financial services components (e.g. FinMApp, DTM, data transfer solutions) across different environments (QA, UAT, Production)
- Collaborate with customers / suppliers / partners in analyzing the root cause and providing ongoing support for the issue by taking ownership of the outcome through your own resolution or escalation as part of the project
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while learning to manage priorities, timelines, and budgets
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Contribute to internal improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing services and processes
- Occasional participation in planned weekend activities.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Professional experience in the SWIFT and/or financial services sector
- Experience in business analysis and/or implementation
- Proven track record of successfully delivering technical projects and business support within the SWIFT environment
- Educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field, or comparable business experience
- Good knowledge of national and international payment transactions and securities business, including the potential applications of SWIFT products
- Experience in the specification of technical and functional requirements
- Demonstrate an analytical approach to tasks, with a strong willingness to learn, solve problems, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Well organized with a structured approach - ability to act decisively, work under pressure and with competing deadlines on multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize them with minimal supervision
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse team environment with individuals from various cultural backgrounds
- Flexibility, confidence and a strong understanding of our company's customer and service focus are essential
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Fluency in both German and English (spoken and written)
- Valid work and residence permit for Germany
Preferred qualifications:
Proven experience or exposure to some of the following:
- Application of typical software tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Remedy
- Transfer protocols (SFTP, MQ, possibly also AS2, RVS and WebServices)
