Why Box needs You

Enterprise Billing team is a newly created team under the Enterprise Engineering umbrella. This team will work in a close collaboration with other engineering and finance teams at Box to build and maintain various billing related tools and systems: enterprise events creation pipelines, entitlement management, billing, pricing and packaging, reporting and analytics, just to name a few.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and system components.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and best practices.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Scrum environment.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve backend performance or stability issues.
• Participate in our on-call rotation, available at all times while on-call to help respond to and triage any issues that arise.

Who You Are

• 4+ years of professional so'ware development experience.
• Strong coding skills with demonstrated proficiency in Java.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services
• Experience designing and implementing APIs and services; solid grasp of system design and data modeling.
• Proven ability to design, build, and deploy high-quality so'ware.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, so'ware design principles, andobject-oriented programming.
• Passionate about new technologies with the capability to implement them in existing products.
• Demonstrates ownership mentality and strives for excellence in both technical work and team interactions
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services
• Proficient in English.

Nice to have

• Advanced experience working with BigQuery/BigTable and large-scale / big data environments.

Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
