Title: Seasonal Worker IV - Beach Assistant Supervisor -Longview Beach

Salary: $17.00/hour
Job Duties: Assistant Supervisor
Job Duties:
- Oversee daily beach operations in the absence of the Beach Supervisor, including admissions, maintenance, cleaning, customer concerns, and safety.
- Act as a lifeguard when the Beach Supervisor is present. Ensure patron safety by actively scanning the water, enforcing safety rules, and responding to emergencies with water rescues, CPR, and first aid.
- Assist the Beach Supervisor with managing seasonal staff.
- Take charge in emergencies, adhering to established protocols.
- Ensure beach facilities are clean and stocked, inform Beach Supervisor of any maintenance needs.
- Assist with staffing for Longview Beach Special Events, such as Sand Cinema or other beach-hosted events.
Minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Must obtain Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification prior to the beach opening. Required to attend 2 days of provided lifeguard training on 5/3 and 5/9 unless a current certification can be provided or obtained independently.
- Ability to maintain certification-level physical and menta readiness.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale skills are necessary.
- Required to work weekends, evenings, and holidays; work schedule will vary.
