Responsibility Level: 

The Clarios Advanced Energy Storage Software Team is searching for an individual interested in contributing on a team tasked with developing new energy storage technology. We are searching for an experienced Software Tools & Integration Engineer who will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and integrating software tools that support embedded software development, testing, and validation. This role is critical in enabling workflows, automation, and compliance with industry standards such as ASPICE and ISO 26262. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain internal software tools for build automation, code generation, and test execution 

  • Integrate third-party tools (e.g., AUTOSAR authoring tools, static analysis tools, HIL platforms) into the development pipeline 

  • Support configuration and deployment of CI/CD pipelines for embedded software projects 

  • Collaborate with software developers, testers, and systems engineers to streamline tool usage and improve productivity 

  • Ensure toolchain compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and cybersecurity standards 

  • Provide technical support and training for engineering teams on tool usage and best practices 

  • Manage tool licenses, updates, and compatibility across global teams 

  • Develop scripts and utilities to automate repetitive tasks and improve traceability 

  • Participate in tool evaluation and selection for new projects and platforms 

  • Document tool usage guidelines, integration workflows, and troubleshooting procedures 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems software development for safety-critical systems 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience hands-on programming C embedded software 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience hands-on testing and debugging C embedded software 

  • Excellent technical and communication skills 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master of Science in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering 

  • Experience working in the Agile Scrum framework using Jira project tracking software 

  • Experience with ASPICE software development processes 

  • Experience with formal software requirements tools such as IBM DOORS and Jama 

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python 

  • Experience with unit verification tools such as QAC and Cantata 

  • Experience with debugging tools such as Segger J-Link and Lauterbach 

  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems such as dSPACE, Vector, or ETAS 

  • Experience with CAN and LIN using Vector testing tools such as CANoe, CANape, and CANalyzer 

  • Experience with electronics laboratory tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers 

  • Experience with continuous integration (CI) systems such as Azure Pipelines, GitLab CI, or Jenkins 

  • Experience with Virtual ECU systems such as Synopsis Silver and dSPACE VEOS
