The Opportunity:
The SVP, Transformation Delivery Leader will direct the successful delivery of North America’s change portfolio.

The role will lead end-to-end execution of change initiatives across the full insurance value chain. This role ensures strategic transformation programs are executed with discipline, speed, and measurable business impact while maintaining regulatory compliance, operational continuity, and strong stakeholder alignment.

This role requires collaboration with senior business, data and technology stakeholders. This role is responsible for articulating business needs across the division and translating them into strategic projects that support modernization, operating model redesign, process simplification, cost optimization, and customer experience improvement.

The role will lead all aspects of delivery, including budget, scope, design, sequencing, analytics, data, technology, change management, governance, benefit achievement.

Location: New York, NY, Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA or Madison, WI
Work Arrangement: This role will be on a hybrid schedule with the expectation of being in office 8 to 12 days a month.
The salary range for this role is: $256,000 - $480,000

Your new role:

Business Transformation Leadership

  • Own the development of the transformation agenda across the North America division, delivering on strategic outcomes to support the future of the business.
  • Develop and execute transformation and change plans aligned with business priorities across the division.
  • Build and develop a high-performing transformation delivery organization.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the external market for modern business capabilities within the insurance industry, a clear understanding of competitor strategies, and competitive advantages.
  • Be a strong advocate for the development of a culture of customer focus, performance excellence, and innovation across all of NAO.
  • Maintain regular communication with peers across QBE globally, to ensure consistency, transfer of knowledge, and promotion of "best in class" methodology, delivery, and ideas.
  • Own and drive the continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives, significantly uplifting awareness and capability of waste elimination, process simplification, and simple automation.
  • Establish and implement appropriate policies and procedures to create a culture of operational excellence, whether around innovation, strong commitment to quality, or strict adherence to operational procedures.

Business Transformation Delivery

  • Lead the development of the transformation agenda across the division or function, delivering on strategic outcomes to support the future of the business.
  • Develop and execute transformation and change plans aligned with business priorities across the group/divisions.
  • Own delivery accountability for the enterprise transformation portfolio, ensuring alignment to corporate strategy, financial targets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead complex, multi-year programs spanning policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, data, digital, and shared services.
  • Ensure transformation solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and designed for long-term maintainability.
  • Translate strategic objectives into execution roadmaps, milestone plans, and measurable value realization outcomes.

Portfolio and Program Risk Management

  • Develop governance and performance metrics to ensure measurement of transformation effectiveness across all NA change initiatives.
  • Identify the critical path across all interdependent projects, evaluate risks and develop actions to remediate impact.
  • Create progress tracking mechanisms and metrics to evaluate overall delivery and variances in budget, scope and return on investment.
  • Establish appropriate governance forums (e.g. steering committee) and mechanisms to enable effective oversight of project.
  • Ensure strong governance, escalation, and decision-making cadence.
  • Monitor overall project resource capacity and utilization across the division, maximizing productivity and minimizing project delas across the portfolio.

Adoption & Value Realization

  • Incorporate divisional change management strategies into all change initiatives to ensure adoption, engagement, and capability uplift.
  • Drive business and delivery team accountability for benefits realization, including expense reduction, productivity gains, growth enablement, and customer outcomes.
  • Embed transformation into operational ownership with sustainable post-implementation performance measures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Insurance industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Demonstrated success designing and delivering large-scale business transformation programs.
  • Demonstrated success developing and gaining leadership acceptance of multi-year, coordinated technical and business transformation business cases with robust financial modelling and analysis
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders.
  • Experience working with Boards and executive committee.
  • Understanding of core insurance platforms and ecosystems
  • Experience operating in a regulatory and risk management environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated success designing and delivering large-scale business transformation programs.

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance. We encourage all candidates to apply, even if their salary expectations fall outside of this range, as we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.
