Job Summary: The Senior Vice President, Strategic Outsourcing provides executive leadership and operational oversight for all enterprise activities related to global vendor partnerships—both captive (in-house) and external. This role is accountable for designing, executing, and continuously improving the company’s sourcing strategy, vendor ecosystem, continuity and resiliency framework, and policy governance infrastructure for global servicing operations.

The Senior Vice President, Strategic Outsourcing ensures alignment across servicing, risk, legal, finance, technology, and compliance functions and serves as an executive sponsor for regulatory examinations and enterprise initiatives involving vendor risk, business continuity, and policy management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies for process migration and right-sourcing to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Direct all onshore and offshore outsourcing strategies, including partner selection, governance, and scalability initiatives.
  • Establish global sourcing scorecards, productivity dashboards, and executive reporting for cost-to-serve, capacity utilization, and performance outcomes.
  • Oversee relationship management and governance with offshore BPO partners across multiple geographies; define risk mitigation plans and transition controls.
  • Conduct recurring site visits and operational reviews to ensure compliance with performance standards and enterprise governance requirements.
  • Align licensing and regulatory strategies with evolving business needs and legal requirements to maintain a compliant and forward-looking offshore operating model.
  • Lead enterprise vendor management and risk governance for global partners, including due diligence, onboarding, contract negotiation, and ongoing oversight.
  • Collaborate on enterprise standards for vendor tiering, cybersecurity controls, financial viability, and issue remediation.
  • Own enterprise vendor risk systems for global partners, ensuring integration with procurement, finance, and compliance.
  • Represent the company during internal audits and regulatory examinations related to global vendors and third-party oversight.
  • Provide governance and oversight for offshore operations, acting as liaison between U.S. servicing and international teams.
  • Oversee continuity plans for global partners, incident playbooks, and annual simulations to ensure compliance with investor standards.
  • Partner with IT Disaster Recovery and operational leaders to maintain and test continuity plans across all sites and vendors.
  • Develop enterprise metrics to monitor vendor performance, process productivity, and capacity utilization.
  • Design and publish monthly dashboards for leadership tracking of SLA adherence, cycle time, quality, and cost metrics.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives delivering measurable financial or risk-reduction outcomes.
  • Conduct internal benchmarking to identify automation and vendor consolidation opportunities.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a multi-disciplinary team and offshore equivalents.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and data-driven decision-making across governance functions.
  • Collaborate with peers in Operations, Technology, and Risk/Vendor Management to ensure shared ownership of enterprise resilience and vendor excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial services, mortgage servicing, or regulated industries.
  • 10+ years of management experience, including enterprise responsibility for vendor management, sourcing, or operational governance.
  • Proven experience managing offshore operations, vendor selection/transitions, and large-scale outsourcing governance.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to define strategy, influence C-suite decisions, and lead cross-functional change.
  • High proficiency in performance analytics, productivity management, and financial modeling for cost-benefit justification.
