The SVP, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer serves as the enterprise leader for marketing strategy, brand stewardship, and customer engagement. Reporting to the EVP, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, this role owns the centralized marketing function and partners with executive leadership to ensure marketing priorities align with company objectives. This role drives enterprise-wide marketing vision, enabling growth through data-driven strategies, digital transformation, customer experience excellence, and innovative brand storytelling. This leader fosters collaboration across business units, optimizes marketing investments, and champions a culture of agility, innovation, and measurable impact.

Job Responsibilities:  

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Define and activate a future-focused marketing vision that drives growth in new and existing markets.
  • Lead enterprise marketing planning and multi-year roadmaps aligned to corporate strategy.
  • Champion digital transformation and adoption of emerging MarTech, AI, and automation to enhance marketing effectiveness.
  • Approve enterprise-level marketing investments and partnerships to maximize ROI.

Brand & Enterprise Alignment

  • Ensure consistent brand governance and messaging across all channels and business units.
  • Serve as the enterprise voice for brand and marketing, influencing leadership and external stakeholders.          Drive initiatives that strengthen brand equity and customer trust.

Revenue Growth & Customer Experience

  • Deliver measurable impact on new sales growth through direct-to-consumer marketing strategies.
  • Support B2B growth and retention through integrated marketing programs.
  • Advance customer experience initiatives leveraging data-driven insights and personalization to drive customer acquisition, retention, and cross-sell opportunities.

Data-Driven Decision Making & Innovation

  • Establish marketing performance metrics and dashboards to monitor effectiveness.
  • Use analytics and consumer insights to optimize campaigns and inform strategic decisions.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement in marketing practices.

Operational Excellence

  • Own the enterprise marketing operating model and governance structure.
  • Build scalable marketing operations and resource flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Implement technologies and processes that reduce costs and improve profitability.

Talent Development & Culture

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top marketing talent.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and learning across the marketing organization.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to build leadership capability within the team.

Job Requirements:

  • 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including 5+ years in an executive role within a complex, matrixed organization leading enterprise-level marketing organizations.
  • Proven success in leading enterprise marketing strategy, brand management, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Expertise in data-driven marketing, analytics, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Track record of driving innovation and deploying new technologies to enhance marketing performance and customer experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to represent marketing vision internally and externally.
  • Preferred: MBA or advanced degree in marketing or related field; experience in financial services or highly regulated industries.
