The Role: Sustainability Sales Specialist, Brazil

The Team: The Sustainability Sales team in Brazil is dedicated to fostering strong client relationships while expanding market presence in the region. This collaborative team works within S&P Global Sustainable1 and across divisions to deliver comprehensive ESG solutions tailored to client objectives. The team actively engages with market participants to enhance visibility in the Brazilian market and is responsible for defining and executing the sales strategy for Brazil while managing key account portfolios.

The Impact: Reporting to the Sales Team LATAM, in this role, you will have the opportunity to work on multi-stakeholder deals with a wide range of companies within a defined territory. In this role, you will have ultimate accountability for achieving sales growth within S&P Global Sustainable1 in your territory. This role will support our suite of ESG & sustainability solutions. Working across both existing relationships and new logos, the role requires you to be a team player, self-starter, and trusted advisor to deeply understand unique company challenges and the regulatory landscape. You will consult with customers about S&P's ESG services suite to evangelize solutions that will help them reach their business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with marketing and business line leaders to establish clear, customer-oriented value propositions for the entire suite of sustainability solutions
  • Drive attainment of monthly and quarterly revenue results while maintaining a long-term, integrated perspective for sustainable territory growth
  • Identify opportunities to drive top line revenue growth by leveraging existing products and integrating customer feedback and market intelligence
  • Share accountability with marketing for improving customer experience, go-to-market strategy, and achievement of sales revenue targets
  • Stay well-connected with customers and the market to ensure broad market needs are incorporated into product development
  • Enhance and promote cross-divisional collaboration with other S&P divisions, aligning sales strategy with S&P Global's most important client opportunities
  • Take a leadership approach to communicating our sustainability value proposition and market leadership to industry customers and potential partners
  • Define and execute account plans for your book of business based on company size, industry, and publicly disclosed strategic objectives
  • Grow a defined book of business consisting of both current accounts and new logos while managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Collaborate with different members of account teams across S&P Global Market Intelligence to recommend custom solutions for customers
  • Stay entrepreneurial by keeping current with industry news to develop marketing initiatives and create client events to attract prospects and build pipeline

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Sustainability and/or SaaS enterprise sales with a focus on solution selling and large ticket deals
  • Proven track record of selling successfully within Corporates and Financial Institutions
  • Proven experience in managing large complex sales and ability to effectively work in a large organization
  • Understanding of how to collect and leverage customer, market, and competitive intelligence
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience working within a global matrix environment
  • Must speak Portuguese and English fluently

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong technical experience with Salesforce.com, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other commercial tools
  • Experience in managing and growing a book of business within large, multinational organizations
  • Strong negotiation skills to close strategic deals and exceptional presentation skills with Executive audiences
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in complex deal environments

Compensation/Benefits Information: Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.  This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
