About the Role

The M&S GDPU Sustainability team is looking for a Master's student to join us for thesis internship. You will work on a high-impact project at the intersection of sustainability and commercial performance, helping Sanofi strengthen its competitive positioning in European healthcare tenders through optimized sustainability criteria responses, particularly in packaging and medical devices.

 

This is a real project with real business impact. Your work will directly influence how Sanofi competes in public and private healthcare tenders across Europe.

Key Responsabilities

  • Review European tender documents to extract and map sustainability criteria.

  • Monitor sustainability trends across key EU regions and tender platforms.

  • Build economic models to assess cost vs. tender scoring benefits.

  • Quantify financial impact of sustainability improvements in packaging and devices.

  • Use TCO methods to prioritize sustainability investments.

  • Identify gaps between current sustainability performance and tender requirements.

  • Recommend concrete improvements for packaging and medical devices.

  • Create a Tender Sustainability Scoring Matrix to support bid teams.

  • Benchmark Sanofi’s sustainability performance against leading procurement systems and competitors.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and present insights to senior stakeholders.

About you.

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a Master's program in one of the following fields: Sustainability / Environmental Management, Analysis

    and Policies in Economics, Business Administration (sustainability focus), or Environmental Economics.

  • Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, Curious, structured, and autonomous working style,

    Familiarity with tender or procurement processes,

    Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

  • Languages: Fluent English — written and spoken
