We at NKG Vietnam work closely with the local people in the coffee producing areas and buy the green coffee materials directly from the farmers, producers, collectors and suppliers. In our factory we can process more than 35 different exportable qualities. We are able to cater for special client wishes. This includes creating qualities according to specific client requirements: a selected screen size with a chosen percentage of black and broken beans, foreign matters, Excelsa beans and a special percentage of moisture can be delivered without problem. For our group company, NKG Vietnam, we are looking for a Sustainability Facilitation Lead (f/m/d).
The position will be based in Dak Lak Branch and reports directly to Sustainability Manager .
Job description:
Fully responsible for developing, managing, and implementing consulting programs, training on coffee planting and care techniques for sustainable coffee farmers, along with related projects to help farmers improve productivity, product quality, and sustainable income for farmers participating in the Company's sustainable coffee program, NKG Vietnam Company Ltd.
1. Developing Strategies and Training Contents
Strategy: Develop a long-term strategy for consulting and technical training activities based on the actual needs of farmers and business/project objectives.
Content: Develop and standardize training materials, textbooks, and tools (both theoretical and practical) on topics such as:
Sustainable farming techniques (planting, fertilizing, watering, cutting, integrated pest management – IPM, soil health).
Harvest, post-harvest, and preservation quality management.
Certification standards (4C, RA, AAA, NKG Verified).
2. Management and Implementation of Consulting/Training Activities
Planning: Make a detailed quarterly/annual plan for training sessions, workshops, and field trips.
Coordination: Coordinating, organizing, supporting, and directly participating in teaching and technical guidance in the field.
Team Management: Manage, train, and supervise field technical staff to ensure the quality and consistency of technical measures implemented and applied.
Internal training: Develop and deliver training programs for Sustainability staffs to strengthen their technical expertise, project management skills, and understanding of sustainability standards.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Improvement
Supervision: Establish a monitoring system, collect data on the application of techniques by farmers.
Evaluation: Conduct periodic assessments of the effectiveness of training programs (impacts on productivity, quality, income, emission reduction, etc.).
Improvement: Analyze the results, propose and make adjustments and improvements to the training content and methodology.
4. Partnerships and Reports
Cooperation: Build and maintain good relationships with partners (Departments/Departments of Agriculture, Farmers' Associations, NGOs, research institutes) to update and apply scientific and technical advances.
Reporting: Make progress reports, periodic and irregular activity results at the request of the Board of Directors/Sponsors.
Your profile
Language skills:
Vietnamese: Fluent
English: Basic communication
Education and Expertise:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Agronomy, Crop Science, Rural Development, or related fields.
Experience
At least 05 years of working experience in the field of agriculture, of which at least 02 years in the position of managing/coordinating technical training projects/programs for farmers, giving priority to the coffee industry.
Have practical experience in coffee cultivation.
Skills
Training & Communication Skills: Ability to present, teach, and convey complex technical information in an easy-to-understand manner to farmers.
Project & Team Management Skills: Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and manage personnel effectively.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse farming data and provide technical solutions promptly.
Office Informatics: Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Personal Skills:
Passionate and knowledgeable about coffee plants and sustainable agriculture.
Have a high sense of responsibility, honesty, and enthusiasm.
Willing to go on business trips and work in the field with farmers regularly.
