We are looking for a Sustainability & Environment Analyst to strengthen our team within sustainability and ESG.

What will you be doing in this role?

As Sustainability & Environment Analyst, you will play a key role in driving HMH’s global sustainability, ESG, and environmental agenda. You will help turn strategy into action by strengthening reporting, supporting compliance, enabling risk assessments, and driving measurable sustainability performance across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving and developing HMH’s sustainability and ESG program

  • Supporting environmental initiatives, compliance, and reporting across global operations

  • Conducting and supporting climate, environmental, and human rights risk assessments

  • Tracking KPIs, analyzing performance, and translating insights into actionable improvements

  • Preparing clear and impactful reports and presentations for management and stakeholders

  • Supporting audits related to sustainability, environment, and compliance

  • Developing training and building sustainability awareness across the organization

  • Improving tools, workflows, and reporting processes — including leveraging AI and digital tools to work faster, smarter, and better


Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are analytical, structured, and genuinely passionate about sustainability and environmental performance. You are comfortable working with data, frameworks, and stakeholders, and you enjoy turning complex requirements into practical solutions that create real impact.

We also think it is important that you hold the following qualifications:

  • Experience working with ESG, sustainability, environmental management, or related compliance and reporting activities

  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks, regulations, and reporting requirements

  • Ability to analyze data, track KPIs, and translate insights into actions and improvements

  • Confidence collaborating across teams and engaging stakeholders in a global organization

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and create momentum
