Sustainability CoE (Center of Excellence) Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

The Sustainability CoE Engineer delivers sustainability support to sales and engineering teams to meet customer requirements. Typical requests concern energy and carbon calculations of KONE solutions, material and green building compliance of KONE solutions, but they can also focus on social sustainability, our supplier network or multiple other topics within the sustainability domain. As a CoE engineer, you will also be responsible to deliver trainings and coach local sales and engineering teams in sustainability, including participation in customer meetings. In addition, you will be responsible to develop processes, services and tools that help us deliver sustainability support effectively to our customers.

Provide sustainability support for sales teams and customer projects to ensure KONE solutions meet customers’ sustainability requirements (requirements set for suppliers, green building requirements, carbon targets etc.) and ensure compliance with relevant standards. Participate in customer meetings to support sales teams with sustainability expertise. Deliver training and coaching to local sales and engineering teams on sustainability topics. Develop processes, services, and tools to enhance sustainability support to customers. Gather sustainability insights, customer feedback, service delivery data and industry best practices for continuous service development and product development.   Support GCN Sustainability SharePoint site and website set up: Create and maintain GCN Sustainability Toolbox for customer projects site to provide sales teams and engineers all materials related to sustainability engineering support and calculation. Act as the primary point of contact for sustainability engineering related inquiries. Support local marketing team to create and maintain sustainability promotion materials with sustainability contents (videos, e-brochures, energy calculation mini-programs, etc.). Support GCN Cut Carbon strategy execution. Other work assigned by manager.

Job requirements for Sustainability CoE engineer

    

  • Engineering university level degree (MS/ ME/ BS/ BE)
  • Work experience in engineering or elevator industry
  • General technical knowledge
  • Project management skills
  • Independent working style and an active can do- attitude
  • A committed customer focused mindset
  • Proficiency in MS Excel or similar
  • Good/ Excellent written and spoken English & Excellent written and spoken Chinese
  • Experience in lifecycle assessment (LCA), energy calculations or carbon calculations is an asset
  • Experience of customer co-operation and technical support in tendering/ ordering of solutions is plus.
